Mountain Lakes Amphitheater

Mountain Lakes Amphitheater is an outdoor amphitheater near Flatwoods, West Virginia. Constructed in 2005 and early 2006, the 1700 seat amphitheater is an addition to the growing tourist attractions located at exit 67 on Interstate 79 near Flatwoods, West Virginia. [1]

The Mountain Lakes Amphitheater opened for business on May 20, 2006, with seasoned country artist John Anderson performing the main show [1] and newcomers Taylor Made as the opening act. The rest of the summer continued with concerts featuring Josh Turner, Jeff Bates, Darryl Worley, Michael Combs, The Crabb Family, Phil Dirt & the Dozers, Mike Albert & the Big 'E' Band, Rick K and the All Nighters, Heartcry, Mark Bishop, The Freemans, Nothin' Fancy, The Vaughns, New Ground, Spirits of Bluegrass, 3rd String, Rivers Edge, and Victoria Huggins. The local Colgate Country Showdown was also held at Mountain Lakes Amphitheater in 2006.

The 2007 season kicked off on June 9 with Rhonda Vincent & the Rage, Nothin' Fancy, and Williams & Clark Expedition. Other artists performing on the MLA stage during the 2007 season were Joe Diffie, Bucky Covington, Hope's Call, The Perrys and JP Miller. The venue expanded the season with Home Grown Country Nights, a live radio broadcast on WBRB 101.3 The Bear. [2] Home Grown Country Nights presented unsigned area talent the opportunity to be heard live on the radio, after being juried and selected by WV Radio officials. The local Colgate Country Showdown was held at Mountain Lakes Amphitheater again in 2007.

In 2008, the season kicked off once again with Rhonda Vincent & the Rage [3] and Nothin' Fancy. Home Grown Country Nights was moved to every Friday night this season. Artists Bo Bice, Bucky Covington and Jake Owen all performed at the amphitheater during the season as well as the local Colgate Country Showdown.

Mountain Lake Amphitheaters' season runs from May - Oct. The venue is often used for weddings and conferences in addition to music concerts.

Blossom Music Center is an outdoor amphitheatre located in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The venue is the summer home of The Cleveland Orchestra and site of the ensemble’s annual Blossom Festival. Blossom Music Center is owned by the Musical Arts Association, the Orchestra’s parent organization. The music center is named after the families of Dudley S. Blossom Sr., and Dudley S. Blossom Jr. The former had served as the president of the Musical Arts Association from 1936 to 1938, and his widow Elizabeth and daughter-in-law Emily continued to support the Musical Arts Association after Dudley Jr.’s death in 1961. The Board’s president, Frank E. Joseph, felt that the Blossom family was “more deserving of the honor than any other Cleveland family.” The pavilion is constructed of slate and tubular steel, and seats 6,051 people. Behind the pavilion is a general-admission lawn section, which can seat an additional 15,000 audience members. The venue is also host to a full summer schedule of popular music acts and symphonic performances. Blossom’s natural parabolic setting, the pavilion’s sloping slate roof, and the countryside’s wooded surroundings distinguish it from other contemporary amphitheaters.

Alpine Valley Music Theatre is a 37,000-capacity amphitheater located on County Highway D in East Troy, Wisconsin. The seasonal venue was built in 1977 and it features a characteristic wooden roof, covering the 7,500-seat pavilion and a sprawling lawn. It was reported on Urban Milwaukee Dial on August 25, 2014 to be for sale for over $8 million.

Shoreline Amphitheatre

Bucky Covington American singer

William Joel "Bucky" Covington III is an American country music singer. He placed eighth on the 5th season of the Fox Network's talent competition series American Idol. In December 2006, he signed a recording contract with Lyric Street Records. His self-titled debut album, produced by Dale Oliver and Mark Miller of the band Sawyer Brown, was released on April 17, 2007. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, and produced three hit singles on the Hot Country Songs charts: "A Different World" at number six, "It's Good to Be Us" at number eleven, and "I'll Walk" at number ten. Three more singles: "I Want My Life Back," "Gotta Be Somebody", and "A Father's Love ," were released for an unreleased second album, titled I'm Alright, and later included on his 2012 album, Good Guys.

The Pavilion is an outdoor amphitheater located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, within the Montage Mountain Ski Resort. A temporary fixture was originally built in 1992, known as the Montage Mountain Amphitheater. However, due to the venue's popularity, a permanent venue opened in 2000.

American Idols Live! Tour 2006 was a summer concert tour in the United States featuring the top 10 contestants of the fifth season of American Idol, which aired in 2006. It was sponsored by Kellogg Pop-Tarts. The tour started on July 5 and ended on September 24 covering 60 dates, the biggest tour thus far. Initially 39 dates were planned, but 21 extra dates were later added due to demand. It followed in the tradition of other American Idol summer tours following the completion of each season in May.

Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre Former amphitheatre in Irvine, California

Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre was an amphitheatre located in Irvine, California. The establishment was built in 1980 by Irvine Meadows Partnership and it opened in 1981. In 2016 the amphitheatre was closed and demolished. It was the largest amphitheatre in Orange County, with 10,418 reserved seats and 5,667 on the lawn. The architect was Gin Wong Associates of Los Angeles. The unique design of this venue is that it was built on a hillside so the seats have a steep slope toward the stage.

Riverbend Music Center

Riverbend Music Center is an outdoor amphitheater located in Cincinnati, Ohio, along the banks of the Ohio River. It has a capacity of 20,500 and was built for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, to allow them to play in an outdoor venue during the summer months. Its location is directly adjacent to Coney Island water park and Belterra Park. Famed architect and 2012 Driehaus Prize winner Michael Graves designed the building. The venue is owned by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, booked and operated by its subsidiary, Music and Event Management Incorporated (MEMI) and also partners with Live Nation.

The Podunk Bluegrass Festival is a bluegrass festival established in 1996 and taking place in August each year in Connecticut, United States. The festival features local, regional, and national bluegrass musicians. Nothin' Fancy is a bluegrass band based in Buena Vista, Virginia and was formed in September 1994. Its "parent band" East Coast Bluegrass Band was formed Summer 1985 to compete in the East Coast Bluegrass Championship in Crimora, Virginia.

The Hayden Homes Amphitheater is an outdoor amphitheater built in the historic Old Mill District in Bend, Oregon. The amphitheater's name-in-title sponsor is Hayden Homes, a Central Oregon home builder established in Redmond, Oregon in 1989. Shenandoah Valley Music Festival

Shenandoah Valley Music Festival is the longest running music festival in Virginia. It presents a concert series each summer that takes place mid-July through Labor Day weekend at Shrine Mont in Orkney Springs, Virginia. The Festival started in 1963 as a way of bringing symphonic music to the rural Shenandoah Valley.
