Moyle Park College

Moyle Park College is a secondary school in Clondalkin, South Dublin, Ireland.

The school was established by the Marist Brothers in 1957, [1] and grew alongside the population of the local area. As of the 2017 school year, no more Marist Brothers taught in the school. In 2007 Moyle Park College celebrated its Golden Jubilee. [2] On 13 October a ceremony was held in the sports hall to mark the occasion. This was attended by the then President of Ireland Mary McAleese who also opened the Golden Jubilee Garden. Niamh Cahalane took over as principal from Maurice Hartigan in August 2016.[ citation needed ] [3]

During the summer months, the college is host to Moyle Park English Language College. This summer project sees more than 300 international students come to the college to learn English as a second language. Students come from Argentina, Brazil, Spain, France and Italy and stay in the Clondalkin, Palmerstown, Tallaght and Lucan areas of Dublin.[ citation needed ]

Michael Moyles is a former Gaelic footballer who played for Crossmolina and the Mayo county team. He also managed the Mayo ladies' football team from 2021 to 2023 where they won their first silverware since 2016.

Niamh McEvoy is a former senior Dublin ladies' footballer. She was a member of the Dublin team that won the 2010 All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship final. She was one of two players named Niamh McEvoy who played for Dublin in the 2010 final. The player sharing her name, Niamh McEvoy of St. Sylvester's, replaced her when she came on as a second-half substitute. She had previously played for Dublin in the 2003, 2004 and 2009 All-Ireland finals. McEvoy also captained the Dublin team.

Niamh McEvoy is a senior Dublin ladies' footballer and an Australian rules footballer with Melbourne Football Club in the AFL Women's. McEvoy was a member of the Dublin teams that won the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship in 2010, 2017, 2018 and 2019. She was also a member of the Dublin team that won the 2018 Ladies' National Football League.

Jack Cahalane is an Irish Gaelic footballer and hurler who plays for club sides St Finbarr's and Castlehaven and at senior level with the Cork county football team. He usually lines out as a forward.

Aidomo Emakhu is an Irish professional footballer who plays for English club Millwall, as a forward.
