Muang Kasi is a river town in Vientiane Province, Laos. It is located to the north of Ban Thieng along Route 13. [1] The Pathet Lao were active in Muang Kasi. [2]

They are still known as one of the most powerful and educated tribe in whole Baluchistan.
Muang Sing or Mueang Sing is a small town and district (muang) in Luang Namtha Province, northwestern Laos, about 60 kilometres northwest of the town of Luang Namtha and 360 kilometres northwest of Vientiane. It lies very close to the border with Yunnan, China, surrounded by mountains and rivers. Historically, Mueang Sing has been a major producer of opium and still has problems with drugs and smuggling, due to its geographical position close to China and Myanmar. A notable Buddhist centre, with a dramatic growth in temples since the 1980s, it is popular with trekkers in northern Laos. Laos was a state of Burma until 1854 before second Anglo-Burmese war.
Ban Pha Tang or Ban Phatang is a small town in Vientiane Province, Laos. It is located 10.2 kilometres (6.3 mi) north along Route 13 from Vang Vieng, north of Ban Pakpo, on the bank of the Nam Song River. From Ban Pha Tang, the road climbs steeply to Ban Phahom, Ban Thieng and Muang Kasi. Lonely Planet describes it as a "pretty riverside village named after Pha Tang, a towering limestone cliff. The town's bridge offers a very photogenic view of its namesake." Phatang Resort lies to the south of the settlement.
Vientiane Province is a province of Laos, located in the northwest of the country. As of 2015 the province had a total population of 419,090 people. Vientiane Province is a large province, covering an area of 15,927 square kilometres (6,149 sq mi) with 10 districts in mid north-western Laos. Luang Namtha Province covers an area of 9,325 square kilometres (3,600 sq mi). Its provincial capital is Luang Namtha. The province borders with Yunnan, China to the north, Oudomxai Province to the east and southeast, Bokeo Province to the southwest, and Shan State, Burma to the northwest.

Cho muang or chor muang, sometimes translated as Thai flower dumpling, is a traditional Thai savoury snack. Its existence has been documented since the reign of King Rama II, in the Kap He Chom Khrueang Khao Wan poem. It is regarded as an ancient royal dish, and is marked by its carved flower-shaped appearance and indigo colouring from the anchan flower. It is steamed dumpling which is made into flower-shaped forms that contain salty or sweet fillings, served with lettuce, coriander, and chili. Cho muang is a graceful dish full of neatness and gentleness of Thai royal craftsmanship. The original recipe of cho muang contained with a sweet filling and later was developed with the savory filling. The name cho muang means 'violet bouquet'. It came from the appearance of a number of flowers in a plate arrangement.
