Muara Karang is a residential complex in Pluit, North Jakarta. Most of the inhabitants are Chinese Indonesians, who also run many Hokkien restaurants. In recent times however the settlement has attracted Chinese immigrants of many other origins. The area also gained a growing reputation as a casual dining location, due to the numerous new food outlets opened every year, resulting in a highly competitive market.
The area is also home to PLTU Muara Karang, a 1000 MegaWatt steam-powered power plant that provides approximately 60% of Jakarta's energy requirements.
Mega Mall (now called Pluit Village) is currently the main shopping mall with Carrefour as the anchor store. This mall originally had cell phone shops, restaurants, a cinema, furniture shops, and convention halls. Since 2008 it has undergone intensive partial renovation and is slated to reopen in 2009. The mall seems to focus on attracting high-profile branded tenants.
The latest addition to the area is the CBD Pluit, a huge mall, apartment building, department store, office complex and shops. Completed in 2009, it opens as Mall Emporium Pluit.
It is currently unknown whether Pluit Junction has the same owner/developer as CBD Pluit.

Penjaringan is a subdistrict of North Jakarta, Indonesia. It is the westernmost Subdistrict of North Jakarta. Muara Angle port and the mouth of Sunda Kelapa Port is located within Penjaringan. Penjaringan contains the remnants of the original mangrove forest of Jakarta, some is protected by the government. Penjaringan Subdistrict is crisscrossed with water draining channels, canals, and water reservoirs to protect the land from sea flooding. The Cengkareng Drain, part of Jakarta's flood control system, flows to the sea through this subdistrict.

MegaBox is a large shopping centre in Hong Kong and part of the Enterprise Square Five shopping and office complex, located at 38 Wang Chiu Road, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon. With 19 stories and a floor area of 100,000 m2 (1,100,000 sq ft), MegaBox is the largest shopping centre in Eastern Kowloon.
Forrestal Village is a 720,000-square-foot (67,000 m2), 52-acre (210,000 m2) mixed-use retail and office complex in Plainsboro Township, Middlesex County, New Jersey, along Route 1. Despite being in Plainsboro it has a Princeton address. It is just north of Princeton University's Forrestal campus and is named for James Forrestal. The center is anchored by Can Do Fitness and a Westin hotel. In recent years, it has suffered a sharp decline, turning into a dead mall. Renovations and rebranding as an "office" complex are underway to bring customers back. The center has spawned some development in the area, including an adjacent office complex and several apartment and condo communities, including Princeton Windrows, which is right across the street.

Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) is a gated community, located in parts of Penjaringan, North Jakarta and Kapuk, West Jakarta, Indonesia. It is one of most prestigious residential areas in Jakarta along with Menteng, Pondok Indah, and Puri Indah. Although most of PIK area are housing estates, there are businesses on the main roads such as Pantai Indah Utara, Pantai Indah Selatan, and Marina Indah. The Cordoba and Crown Golf shophouses on the Marina Indah Road are famous for restaurants and cafes. PIK can be accessed from Jakarta Airport Toll Road, Jakarta Outer Ring Road West, as well as from the neighboring administrative districts of Pluit and Muara Karang.

Cranbourne Park Shopping Centre is a single-level Regional Shopping Centre, located approximately 42 kilometres south-east of the Melbourne CBD in the suburb of Cranbourne. The centre was first opened in 1979 and was acquired by Vicinity Centres in 2000. Currently, the centre includes Kmart, Target, Coles, Woolworths, and Harris Scarfe as well as JB Hi-Fi, Best & Less and Cotton On Mega stores.
