Muhyiddin School is a mixed-sex public educational institution located in Vilimalé, Maldives. Established in 1999, the school is English medium with the exception of Dhivehi and Islam. The school introduced Secondary Education in 2006 and now facilitates education opportunities for both Primary and Secondary students. In 2010, it was decided that Secondary students would attend the school in the morning while Primary grades are to attend on the afternoon.
Muhiyiddin School is named after the king, Al Sultan Mohamed Muhyiddeenul A'dil Siri Naakiree Sundhara Mahaaradhun, who ruled the country from 1691 to 1692. He was an eminent scholar and a prominent intellectual who contributed a great deal to improve the education and religious awareness in the country. Scholars were exceedingly respected and recognized buy His Majesty as a high concern. The school was initially opened on 8 March 1994 with two teachers and fifteen students. At the outset, two bungalows, which were built for the purpose of tourism, were used as school premises. Multi grade teaching was carried out in these classes. As the school enrollment increased rapidly, the government decided to construct new buildings and upgrade the school. The former Minister of Education, Doctor Mohamed Latheef laid the foundation of the first phase of the school on 16 June 1996. Under the project, five temporary classrooms were built in 1998 and another four-story building was constructed in 2000 to meet the inadequacy of classroom and other facilities. The former President of Maldives His Excellency Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, officially inaugurated Muhiyyiddin School on 7 June 1999. [1]
The school is divided into four houses: Mayya (blue), Farumaanu (red), Hungaanu (yellow), and Dhanmaanu (green). Student clubs and associations include art club, BASE club (Business Association for Student Entrepreneur), Dhivehi club (Tharaha), English club (Zenith), environment club, and science club.
The school's football team was the U-16 champion in the 2010 16th Milo Inter-school Football Tournament. [2] The game's goal keeper, top scorer, and one of the best five players in the tournament were all from Muhyiddin School.
Majeediyya School is the first Maldivian government school, located in Malé, Maldives. It only accepted boys until the introduction of Primary Education in 2010, which allowed girls to attend the school as well. The English medium is followed throughout all subjects, with the exception of Dhivehi and Islam. It teaches at the secondary level.

Dharumavantha School is a public and coeducational school in Malé, Maldives. The school is named in remembrance of Dharumavantha Rasgefaanu who converted the people of Maldives to Islam in 1553 A.D. The school was established in January 2002 with the split of the Majeedhiya School campus into two separate single gender schools, the newly formed school being Dharumavantha. With the establishment of a second male-gender secondary school, the staff and students of Majeedhiya School were split, with half transferred to the new school.
The Football Association of Maldives (FAM), founded in 1982, is the governing body of football in the Maldives. Imaduddin School is one of the youngest schools in the Republic of Maldives. Imaduddin School was put up with the assistance of the Islamic Development Bank. The foundation stone was laid by the honorable Minister of Education, Dr. Mohamed Latheef on 26 October 1998. It has morning and afternoon sessions every day. Afternoon sessions are attended by grades 1-5, while morning sessions are attended by grades 6-10 with each grade finishing later.

New Radiant Sports Club is a Maldivian professional football club based in Henveiru – Malé, Maldives. The club was founded on 19 August 1979 by Ahmed Waheed and his friend Ahammadhanik. New Radiant has won all domestic competitions being held in the Maldives and the club is the most successful in the Maldives in terms of trophies won and is also the most successful Maldivian club in the international arena. They were semi-finalists in the AFC Cup in 2005 and the only Maldivian club to have progressed beyond group stages in the AFC cup in multiple occasions.
Seenu Atoll School or Seenu Atoll Madharusa Dhivehi: ސ.އަތޮޅު މަދަރުސާ is a government school in Hulhumeedhoo, Addu City, Republic of Maldives. The construction of the school was aided by the Government of Japan. The foundation stone was laid by Former Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture, honorable Abdul Sahthaar Moosa Didi on 21 February 1982. It was officially declared open by former Minister of Education, honorable Mohamed Zahir Hussain on 15 April 1983. It first began as a primary school, however in 1998, secondary grades were introduced and in 2013, A'level classes began. The school's motto is "Knowledge Enlightens Life". Seenu Atoll School teaches from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 5. The school uses the Cambridge International Examinations (IGCSE) as the final exams for finishing Grade 10.
