Pandit Mukul Shivputra (born 25 March 1956) (previously known as Mukul Komkalimath) is a Hindustani Classical vocalist of the Gwalior Gharana and the son and foremost disciple of Pt. Kumar Gandharva. [1]
Born in Bhopal to Bhanumati Kouns and Kumar Gandharva, Mukul took to musical training early on from his father. He continued his musical education in Dhrupad and Dhamar with K. G. Ginde and in Carnatic Music with M. D. Ramanathan. [2]
Since his teens, Pt. Shivputra regularly accompanied his father on Tanpura for vocal support. In 1975, Pt. Shivputra, then known as "Mukul Komkalimath," debuted his first performance at the 23rd Sawai Gandharva Music Festival being the first in his generation of singers to debut a performance at the prestigious venue.
Mukul lost his wife after the birth of their son, Bhuvanesh Komkali, who is also a vocalist. He currently lives in Pune.

Gaan Maharishi Pt. Krishnarao Shankar Pandit (1893–1989) was an Indian musician, considered by many as one of the leading vocalists of the Gwalior gharana. He authored several articles and 8 books on music and was the founder of Shankar Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, a music college based in Gwalior. The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 1973, for his contributions to music. He was also a recipient of several other honors, including the 1959 Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and the 1980 Tansen Award of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Sakharam Prabhakar Jalgaonkar, known as Appa Jalgaonkar or Appasaheb Jalgaonkar, was an Indian harmonium player from the state of Maharashtra. Born in 1922 and adopted when he was two years old, he started to learn singing but had to stop due to voice change with the onset of puberty and later shifted to learn harmonium. He accompanied several Hindustani classical singers, tabla artistes and dancers in their performances. He received Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in Harmonium category – a category in which the Sangeet Natak Akademi felicitates rarely. Following a paralysis attack in late 1990s, he died in 2009.
