Absa Group Limited, commonly known simply as Absa and formerly the Amalgamated Banks of South Africa (ABSA) until 2005 and Barclays Africa Group Limited until 2018, is a multinational banking and financial services conglomerate based in Johannesburg, South Africa and listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Richard Patrick Byarugaba is a Ugandan business executive, banker, and entrepreneur. He is the former managing director and chief executive officer of the National Social Security Fund (Uganda), a semi-autonomous retirement pension organisation for non-government employees in Uganda. He served in that capacity from November 2017 until November 2022. He was also listed in 2012 as one of the wealthiest individuals in Uganda.

Margaret Mhango Mwanakatwe is a Zambian politician who was the Minister of Finance from 14 February 2018 to 14 July 2019. She worked previously as a businesswoman, accountant, and bank executive. She was the director for business development in Anglophone Africa at the United Bank for Africa at the bank's headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, she supervised business development in Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia. Before that, she served as the managing director and chief executive officer of the United Bank for Africa Uganda Limited from March 2009 until May 2011.
Samuel Kisakye Sejjaaka is a Ugandan accountant, academic and businessman. He is Principal and Country Team Leader at MAT ABACUS Business School. Between 1993 and 2014, he lectured at Uganda's oldest tertiary institution, Makerere University and rose to the position of Deputy Principal. In December 2014, he retired from the institution at age 50. He then helped establish Abacus Business School, Uganda's premier executive education institution. In 2019, Abacus Business school merged with the Management Accountancy Training Company (MAT) to form MAT ABACUS Business School.
Patricia Adong Ojangole is a Ugandan accountant and bank executive. She is the chief executive officer of Uganda Development Bank Limited (UDBL), Uganda's only national development finance institution.
Patrick Michael Ayota is a Ugandan accountant and corporate executive, who is the Managing Director of National Social Security Fund of Uganda, effective 18 August 2023. Between December 2022 and August 2023, he was CEO/Managing Director at NSSF Uganda, in acting capacity. His contract as MD/CEO runs until August 2028.
Cornwell Muleya is a Zambian chemical engineer, accountant and aviation consultant, who served as the Acting Chief Executive Officer at Uganda National Airlines Company the revived national airline of Uganda, effective October 2019. He was relieved of this position by an "interim" board of directors of the airline in February 2022. Before that, from March 2019, until October 2019, he served as the Technical Director at the same company. He is now the acting Chief Executive Officer at Industrial Development Corperation Zambia.
Anne Juuko, is a Ugandan investment banker and corporate executive, who was appointed by Standard Bank Group as the Regional Head of Global Markets in the group's Eastern African region, covering South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi and Zambia. Her appointment took effect on 1 April 2024. Her work station is located in Nairobi, Kenya. Before that, from 1 March 2020 until 31 March 2024, she was the managing director and chief executive officer of Stanbic Bank Uganda Limited, the largest commercial bank in the country, by assets, valued at US$1.6 billion as of June 2019. She took up this appointment on 1 March 2020.

Lynette Armstrong is a Botswana accountant and corporate executive, who was appointed as the acting chief executive officer of Debswana Diamond Company Limited, the largest diamond-mining company in the world, by value. She was appointed to that position in August 2019. Before that, from December 2015 until August 2019, Armstrong was the chief financial officer (CFO) at the same company. She relinquished he CEO/Managing Director role on 1 June 2022 when Andrew Maatla Motsomi became the new substantive CEO. Ms Armstrong resumed her role of CFO at Debswana.
Nadine Byarugaba, is a Ugandan businesswoman, and management consultant. She is the current chairperson of the board of directors of Absa Bank Uganda Limited, effective 28 July 2020. Before that, from September 2019, she served on the same board, as chairperson in acting capacity, replacing Swithin Munyantwali, who was appointed non-executive director to the board of Absa Group Limited.
Saviour Chibiya, is a Zambian economist and corporate executive, who is the group executive for regional operations at Absa Group Limited, effective November 2021. In this position, he is a member of the group executive committee. He reports directly to the group CEO of Absa Group. He is based at the group headquarters, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Sam Ntulume,, is a Ugandan accountant, businessman and incumbent executive director at I&M Bank Uganda, who concurrently serves as the chief operating officer at that commercial bank. He has been at I&M Bank Uganda, since November 2021.
Mark Muyobo,, is a Ugandan accountant, businessman and incumbent Chief Executive Officer at NCBA Bank Uganda. He took up his current assignment in December 2021. He replaced Anthony Ndegwa, a Kenyan national, who left the bank.
Michael Taremwa Kananura, is a Ugandan accountant and corporate executive who was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in acting capacity, at Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL), effective 10 August 2022. Before his new assignment, he worked as the chief financial officer, at UETCL.
Anthony Kituuka is a Ugandan accountant, business executive and banker. He is the managing director and chief executive officer of Equity Bank Uganda, a commercial bank in that country, effective November 2022.
