History

In 2009 it was run as Mumbai–Karwar Tri-weekly Superfast Express. On 14 August 2010 Union minister of State for Railways K. H. Muniyappa flagged off Mumbai CST–Karwar Tri-weekly Superfast Express Train, the service of then extended to the city from Mangalore Junction. Its frequency increased from tri weekly to daily. ^[5] On 1 March 2025 it began running with LHB coaches.

The 12133/ Mumbai CSMT–Mangaluru Junction SF Express has an average speed of 82 km/h and covers 1164 km, 12134/Mangaluru Junction–Mumbai CSMT SF Express has an average speed of 82 km/h and max speed of 120 kmph
