A municipal seat (Spanish: cabecera municipal; ) is the administrative center and seat of government of a municipality or civil parish, with other villages or towns subordinated. The term is used in Brazil,[ citation needed ] Colombia, [1] Mexico, Guatemala and Venezuela.
