The Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation;also known as Radio Pakistan,serves as the national public broadcaster for radio in Pakistan. Although some local stations predate its founding,it is the oldest existing broadcasting network in Pakistan. Originally the network was established on 14 August 1947,following Pakistan's independence from Britain but on 20 December 1972 it was changed to a statutory body governed by the board of directors and a Director General. Radio is broadcast through FM,AM and shortwave radio frequencies. Select programming is also available through WRN.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is a Pakistani politician who served as the 37th Minister of Foreign Affairs,in office from 27 April 2022 to 10 August 2023. He became the chairman of Pakistan People's Party in 2007,following his mother's assassination. Bilawal belongs to the Bhutto family,a prominent political family of Pakistan and is the son of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari,and the grandson of former President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Bilawal had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 13 August 2018 till 10 August 2023. He re-elected as Member National Assembly of Pakistan in 2024 Pakistani general election from newly formed constituency NA-194 Larkana-I taken oath February 2024.
Arif-ur-Rehman Alvi is a Pakistani politician who served as the 13th President of Pakistan,in office from 9 September 2018 to 10 March 2024. He was a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from June 2013 to May 2018 and again from August to September 2018. Alvi was a dentist before entering politics in 1979,when he joined Jamaat-e-Islami (Pakistan),but resigned later on from the party and then joined former cricketer Imran Khan's party in 1996 and is amongst the founding members of PTI.

Arshad Sharif was a Pakistani journalist,writer,and news anchor. He specialized in investigative journalism and covered many political events in the country for national and international news organisations,including the United Kingdom. On 23 March 2019,he was awarded the Pride of Performance by the President of Pakistan Arif Alvi,for his contributions to journalism. He was shot and killed by police in Kenya on 22 October 2022. A 592-page report by the Pakistani Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) revealed the killing to be a “planned targeted assassination," claiming that Kenyan police were "used as instruments." He was an outspoken critic of the Pakistani army.
Zindagi Gulzar Hai is a Pakistani television series directed by Sultana Siddiqui,produced by Momina Duraid under the banner Moomal Productions,which was first broadcast on Hum TV. Based on the novel of the same name by Umera Ahmad,who also wrote the screenplay,it originally aired from November 30,2012,to May 24,2013,in Pakistan. The story revolves around two people,opposite in thoughts and financial status,and has a strong female protagonist,contributing to its popularity amongst women.

Ghulam Murtaza Khan Jatoi is a Pakistani politician who served as Minister for Industries and Production,in Abbasi cabinet from August 2017 to May 2018. A former leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz),Jatoi served as the Minister for Industries and Production in the third Sharif ministry. and previously held the cabinet portfolios of Minister for Communications during the first Sharif's ministry from 1990 to 1992,and as Minister for Overseas Pakistanis during the Second Bhutto ministry from 1993 to 1994.

He has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since February 2024 and previously served in this position from August 2018 till August 2023 and from June 2013 till May 2018. He served as the Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research.

Provincial elections were held in the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 8 February 2024 to elect members of the 12th Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. On 5 August 2023,the results of the 2023 digital census were approved by the Council of Common Interests headed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Therefore,elections have been delayed for several months,as new delimitations will be published on 14 December 2023,as announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). On 2 November 2023,the ECP announced,in agreement with the President of Pakistan,Arif Alvi,that the elections would be held on 8 February 2024. This election was held concurrently with nationwide general elections and other provincial elections.
