Murugeshpalya is a neighbourhood in Bengaluru, India. [1]
It lies south of Old Airport Road, bounded by Vimanapura (including the Old Airport - Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Airport) - on the east and the Old Airport's runway on the south. National Aeronautics Laboratory Road or NAL Road is also called Wind Tunnel Road and cuts through Murugeshpalya on the western side. Extending west nearly 600 mts from the "mouth" of NAL road is the large "Murugeshpalya Domestic Camp". Further down the road, just before it reaches the runway of the HAL Airport, is one of Bangalore's oldest IT Parks: the "Golf View Campus".
Towards the Old HAL Airport [2] lies the Kemp Fort Mall, and further down is the Visvesvaraya First Grade college. The key landmark in this area is the Shiva temple, within the Kemp Fort Mall complex.
The Golf View Campus along the Wind Tunnel Road was once the home of IT firms such as Texas Instruments, Lucent Technologies and Hewlett-Packard. Most of these companies moved to bigger tech parks, leaving Cognizant as the remaining IT company here. The old buildings are now being re-purposed; the campus now hosts Ola Cabs. The Uber office, the call center for Omega Healthcare and Truhealing (Obstetrician & Gynaecologist) are also located on this road. [3] [4]
The Shiva temple [5] has a 65 foot tall Shiva cement statue in addition to a huge Lord Ganesha statue and a Navagraha temple inside. Beneath the statue is a pathway where models of Shiva exist in different forms. These are often replicas of the lingams found in other parts of the country. One of the famous lingams located here is made of ice and is said to be a replica of the one in Amarnath. [6]

The San Marga Iraivan Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located on Kauai, an island in the state of Hawaii, USA. "Iraivan" means "One Above All," and is one of the oldest words for God in the Tamil language. It is the first all-stone, white granite temple to be built in the western hemisphere whose construction began in 1990. The Iraivan Temple is located next to the Wailua River and 8 km from Mount Waialeale. It is maintained by the Saiva Siddhanta Church which is also known as Kauai Aadheenam and Kauai's Hindu Monastery. The temple is under construction. The main murti, or worshipful icon, is a rare spathika Sivalinga, a pointed, six-faced 700-pound clear quartz crystal.
Amarnath Temple is a Hindu shrine located in the Pahalgam tehsil of the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is a cave situated at an altitude of 3,888 m (12,756 ft), about 168 km from Anantnag city, the district headquarters, 141 km (88 mi) from Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, reached through either Sonamarg or Pahalgam. It is an important shrine in Hinduism.
The Borra Caves(Borrā Guhalu) are located on the East Coast of India, in the Ananthagiri hills of the Araku Valley of the Alluri Sitharama Raju district in Andhra Pradesh. The caves, one of the largest in the country, at an elevation of about 705 m (2,313 ft), distinctly exhibit a variety of speleothems ranging in size and irregularly shaped stalactites and stalagmites. The caves are basically karstic limestone structures extending to a depth of 80 m (260 ft), and are considered the deepest caves in India. The native name for the caves is Borrā Guhalu where Borra means abdomen in and Guhalu means caves in Telugu language.
Gokarna is a small temple town located in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka state in southern India, It has a population of around 20,000. Shiva is the most worshipped deity in the town. Madivala Machideva Road is a 17 km stretch road which begins from the junction of Trinity Church Road and Victoria Road and goes to HAL Bangalore International Airport, Marathahalli, Varthur. Beyond that, the road officially becomes Varthur Road, but since the real estate boom started around 2003, builders have started calling the stretch between the Airport and the Marathahalli Outer Ring Road as Old Airport Road. Even so, due to the high significance of this road it has achieved due to its high accessibility for reaching Whitefield.

Patal Bhuvaneshwar is a limestone Hindu cave temple 14 km from Gangolihat in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state in India. It is located in the village of Bhubneshwar. Legend and folklore have it that this cave enshrines Lord Shiva and thirty three koti demigods [33 Types, In hindu neumerology "Koti" means "Types"]. The cave is 160 m long and 90 feet deep from the point of entrance. Limestone rock formations have created various spectacular stalactite and stalagmite figures of various hues and forms. This cave has a narrow tunnel-like opening which leads to a number of caves. The cave is fully electrically illuminated. Built by the flow of water, Patal Bhuvaneshwar is not just one cave, rather a series of caves within caves.

NAL Wind Tunnel Road, expanded as National Aerospace Laboratories Wind Tunnel Road, is a road in the Murugeshpalya locality of Bengaluru. It was called Challaghatta Road, a name that still persists in local use, before it was renamed. It links HAL Airport Road with Bellandur. HAL Airport Road branches into Wind Tunnel Road at a traffic light junction.
Tenkasi Pandyas were the Pandya kings from Sadaavarman Parakrama Pandya to his successors who ruled with Tenkasi as their capital. With the invasion of the Sultanates, Vijayanagaras, and Nayakars from the fourteenth century onwards, the Pandyas lost their traditional capital of Madurai and shifted to cities like Tenkasi and Tirunelveli. Tenkasi was the last capital of the Pandyas. All the Pandyas from Sadaavarman Parakrama Pandya and his next generations were crowned in the Adheenam Mutt in Kasi Viswanathar temple. During the same period, some Pandyas ruled with Tirunelveli as their capital. Kayatharu, Vadakkuvalliyur, and Ukkirankottai are some of their major cities. Inscriptions on them are found in Tenkasi's Kasi Viswanathar temple, Brahmadesam, Cheranmadevi, Ambasamudram, Kalakkad and Pudukkottai. The last Pandyan king to be known in the history of the Pandyas was Kolakonda, who was also among the Tenkasi Pandyas.
