The Museum of Urban and Contemporary Art (MUCA) is an art museum in Munich's old town, Germany.
The museum is located at Hotterstraße 12 (in the former substation of the municipal utility, in the Hackenviertel near Marienplatz) and was opened on December 9, 2016. [1] [2]
It shows urban art on an area of over 2,000 square meters and holds works by Shepard Fairey, Zeus , David Choe , OSGEMEOS, and Banksy.

Street art as an art form of the 21st century is rightly considered as a globally celebrated phenomenon. Nevertheless, street and urban art is barely part of the present art discourse.This is what brought me to the decision to build Germany’s first Museum of Urban Art, which makes a change by enrolling street art into art history and by building a bridge between the international art scene, artists and the public [5]
The building's front side was designed by Stohead. [6] The Museum was listed in the Top 10 German galleries to visit in 2019. [7] [8]
The exhibitions are accompanied by a program with artist and expert discussions, readings, tours and workshops. In 2019, the MUCA Museum and its projects counted over 100,000 visitors.

The Munich International Film Festival is the largest summer film festival in Germany and second only in size and importance to the Berlinale. The Arnulfstraße is a 3.8 km long urban street in Munich. It leads from the Bahnhofplatz in the Ludwigsvorstadt through the Maxvorstadt west to Romanplatz in Neuhausen. Over the Hackerbrücke, there is a connection to the Landsberger Straße, which runs parallel to the south of the railway tracks. Until 1983, the tram line 3 drove through the Arnulfstraße. It was initially diverted in the course of the Munich S-Bahn construction and then shut down. In 1996, the tram service was reopened on the Arnulfstraße with the line number 17.

Saman Oskouei and Sasan Oskouei are multidisciplinary artist-activists and brothers from Tabriz, Iran, currently located in Brooklyn, New York. The brothers collaboratively create nuanced political work, known for its simplicity yet resiliency and positive undertone. They address humanitarian topics such as borders and refugees, capitalism and inequalities, women's rights, and environmental issues. While the nature of the messages Saman and Sasan convey is quite consistent throughout their work, the techniques and materials used are versatile and playful; from paintings and sculptures, performances and interventions, to videos and photography. In their approach, the medium is secondary to the message and serves to support and deliver the latter.
