Music for Dancing is a 1995 album released by English electronic artists The Grid. It was their last album released before their 1996 hiatus. Music for Dancing contains remixes of previously released tracks and one new track, "Diablo."

"Cosmic Girl" is the second single from British funk and acid jazz band Jamiroquai's third studio album, Travelling Without Moving (1996). The song was released in the United Kingdom on 25 November 1996 via Sony Soho Square and in the United States in 1997 via Work Group. The song achieved great chart success, peaking at No. 6 on the UK Singles Chart. It also reached No. 3 in Italy, No. 4 in Iceland, and No. 10 in Finland. The B-side to the single is an instrumental, "Slipin' 'N' Slidin'", a song originating from another Jamiroquai track called "Mr Boogie", which was a live-only song. "Slipin 'N' Slidin'", just like "Mr Boogie", also has a vocal version.

Loved Up is a BBC drama, first shown on TV on 23 September 1995 on the BBC 2 Originally this was a school information film for teenagers to show the risks of taking ecstasy, first shown to schoolchildren in the UK in 1992 and part of the Love Bites series. The film was directed by Peter Cattaneo, who would go on to direct the feature films The Full Monty (1997) and Lucky Break (2001). Starring Lena Headey, Ian Hart and Jason Isaacs, it includes an early appearance by Danny Dyer, who subsequently starred in the 1999 film, Human Traffic, which explored similar themes of clubbing and drug culture. The drama is notable for being the first collaboration between BBC Drama Screen Two and Scene with series associate producer Andy Rowley. Loved Up won a BAFTA award as Best Children's Drama in 1996

Crystal Castles is the debut studio album by Canadian electronic music duo Crystal Castles; at the time of its release, the group consisted of producer Ethan Kath and singer Alice Glass. The two met each other in 2004 and both had an interest in noise music acts like AIDS Wolf & The Sick Lipstick. This inspired the two to start a project that made noise music, but instead of guitars, they would use electronic sounds made with a circuit-bent Atari 5200, which led multiple journalists to describe their genre of music as a chiptune style they did not intend it to be categorized as.

Don Pepijn Schipper, better known by his stage name Don Diablo, is a Dutch DJ, digital artist, record producer, musician and songwriter of electronic dance music from Coevorden. He is one of the pioneers of the future house genre and was ranked sixth in the Top 100 DJs – 2020 list by DJ Mag. He was also ranked number one Producer of the Year for 2018 by 1001Tracklists. In 2016, he was ranked the number one Future House Artist of the Year on Beatport.

"Ghetto Day"/"What I Need" is the second single from American singer-songwriter Crystal Waters' second studio album, Storyteller (1994). It was produced by The Basement Boys and released in June 1994 by Mercury Records, A&M Records and A&M's division AM PM. Waters and Sean Spencer wrote "Ghetto Day", which is a funk song that contains samples from The 5th Dimension's song "Stoned Soul Picnic" and Flavor Unit's "Flavor Unit Assassination Squad". According to Spin, the track's lyrics talk about "those balmy, front-stoop, 40-swinging summer afternoons." The single's second A-side, "What I Need", is a house track written by Waters, Doug Smith and Richard Payton.

"Relax" is a song by American singer Crystal Waters from her second studio album, Storyteller (1994). It was released in 1995 as the fourth and last single from the album, and peaked at number-one on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart in the US. It was also classified the Billboard Hot Dance Breakouts number-one for the category of Club Play Singles on July 1, 1995. In the UK, it reached number 37. A black-and-white music video was produced to promote the single, directed by German director Marcus Nispel.
