My Echo, My Shadow, My Covers, and Me is a covers album by American rock band Awolnation, and is their fifth studio album overall. It was released on May 6, 2022.
The album was recorded virtually with several artists during the COVID-19 pandemic. [1] [2] Awolnation's frontman Aaron Bruno said that working on the album was "fun" and "therapeutic", and was "a nice alternative to “looking at negative news all the time and living in a constant state of panic.” [3]
The band's cover of "Drive" was originally released in 2019 along with the single "California Halo Blue", which was included on their previous album. [4] [5] On January 20, 2022, the band released a cover of "Wind of Change" by Scorpions, featuring members of Portugal. The Man and Brandon Boyd of Incubus, and is the first song from the covers album. [6] [7] On February 27, 2022, the band released the second song, a cover of Midnight Oil's "Beds Are Burning", featuring Tim McIlrath of Rise Against. Incubus is an American rock band from Calabasas, California. The band was formed in 1991 by vocalist Brandon Boyd, lead guitarist Mike Einziger, and drummer José Pasillas while enrolled in Calabasas High School and later expanded to include bassist Alex "Dirk Lance" Katunich, and Gavin "DJ Lyfe" Koppell; both of whom were replaced by bassist Ben Kenney and DJ Kilmore, respectively.

It is their first album to be released since Run was released in 2015. The name of it was inspired from "scenes from Bruno's own home in Malibu, where his wife fosters puppies." Bruno explained the meaning of the album in depth in an interview: "We always are drawn to the runt of the litter in a lot of ways. They have to scrap a little bit more. They're overlooked in many cases, and they shouldn't be. A lot of people who are against all odds and are maybe unnoticed, I think, with all the obstacles end up being stronger and have to find a different way to stand out. That even goes in the music industry as well. It felt like that for me anyways."

Nowhere Generation is the ninth studio album by American punk rock band Rise Against, released on June 4, 2021, on Loma Vista Recordings. It is the band's first album in four years, serving as the follow-up to 2017's Wolves. Four singles were released for the album: "Broken Dreams, Inc", "Nowhere Generation", "The Numbers", and "Talking to Ourselves". The album was produced by Bill Stevenson, Jason Livermore, Andrew Berlin, and Chris Beeble. The album's single of the same name was released on March 18, 2021, and the album was announced that day.
