My Kind of Music is the debut album of American country music singer Ray Scott. It was released in 2005 via Warner Bros. Records. The album includes the singles "My Kind of Music", "Gone Either Way" and "I Didn't Come Here to Talk".
Stephen Thomas Erlewine of Allmusic gave the album four-and-a-half stars, praising Scott's outlaw country influences and the "wry humor". He called the title track "very funny [and] very appealing". [1] Country Standard Time reviewer Michael Sudhalter made a similar comparison to outlaw country. [2] Giving it a "B", Chris Willman of Entertainment Weekly said that Scott "has an old-school baritone and classic country cockiness". [3] Ray Waddell of Billboard gave a mixed review. He wrote that Scott "offers some much-needed Music Row testosterone on ballads like 'I Didn't Come Here to Talk'" and said that Scott sings "more than capably", but thought that Scott was trying to establish credibility by name-dropping on the title track. His highest-selling album to date, it has been certified 2× Platinum by the RIAA and had sold 1.5 million copies. Singles from this album include the title track, "Arlington", and "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk". The title track and "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" both went to No.2 and "Arlington" went to No.16 on the U.S. BillboardHot Country Songs charts. "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" was also a Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and Pop 100 charts as well.
III is the fourth studio album by American country music artist Joe Nichols, released on October 25, 2005 by Universal South Records. The album produced Nichols' second #1 hit in "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off", as well as the top-10 hit "Size Matters (Someday)" and "I'll Wait for You". That's Life is a studio album, released in 2005, by American country music artist Neal McCoy. It was released on his own 903 Music label. Three singles were released from this album: "Billy's Got His Beer Goggles On", the first of these three, reached #10 on the Hot Country Songs charts in 2005, becoming McCoy's first Top Ten hit since "The Shake" in 1997. "The Last of a Dying Breed" peaked at #35, while "Tail on the Tailgate" failed to chart. Sarah Buxton is the debut album by American country singer-songwriter Sarah Buxton. It was released on February 23, 2010 via Lyric Street Records. The album's only single, "Outside My Window," was released in June 2009 and was a Top 25 hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, reaching a peak of number 23 in March 2010. The album also includes Buxton's previous three singles that were released on her extended-play, Almost My Record. As of April 2010, the album has sold nearly 30,000 copies.
Barely Famous Hits is the fourth album by the American country music duo The Warren Brothers. It was released in 2005 via BNA Records. The album reprises songs from the duo's first three studio albums, two of which were also released on BNA.
Hits Alive is the title of a greatest-hits album package released by American country music artist Brad Paisley. This album contains two CDs of a collection of Paisley's greatest hits spanning his entire career. The first disc contains studio versions, and the second disc contains live versions. It was released on November 2, 2010, on Arista Nashville. It sold 31,000 copies in its first week. As of the chart dated April 16, 2011, the album has sold 235,881 copies in the US.
