The N102 is a main transportation artery in Bangladesh, between Comilla and Brahmanbaria. It connects Chittagong Division to Sylhet Division. The highway is known along various stretches as the Comilla-Sylhet Highway. [1] [2]

The highway

The highway, connecting the Comilla and Brahmanbaria districts of Chittagong Division, runs approximately 82 km (51 mi) from Sarail, an upazila in the Brahmanbaria district, to Mainamati, of Comilla.

The highway cuts through the Burichang, Brahmanpara upazila in Comilla district and Kasba, Brahmanbaria Sadar and Sarail upazila in Brahmanbaria district. [3] [4]

Brahmanbaria section

At 41 kilometres (25 mi) in length, the Brahmanbaria section of the highway starts in Sarail biswa road crossing (Connecting with N2).

Comilla section

At 41 kilometres (25 mi) in length, the Comilla section of the highway starts in Makimpur in Brahmanpara Upazila.

The N1 or Dhaka–Chittagong Highway is a main transportation artery in Bangladesh, between Dhaka and Chittagong. Approximately 250 kilometres in length, the road links the country's two largest cities, Dhaka and Chittagong. The highway is known along various stretches as the Chittagong–Cox's Bazar Highway and the Cox's Bazar–Teknaf Highway. Currently four lanes with a eight-lane expansion underway, the N1 is the busiest road in the country and a top development priority. Construction of a larger Dhaka-Chittagong expressway has been proposed to decrease traffic on the highway.

Arifile Mosque is in Sarail Upazila at Brahmanbaria District, Bangladesh, founded by Shah Arif in 1662. Name derived from Arif to Arifile. Locally known as Arail Mosque. This is an example of Mughal architecture, which combined Bengali, Persian and Islamic influences.

Lalmai Upazila is an upazila of Comilla District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Lalmai is the 17th upazila of Comilla District and 491st upazila of the country. It was formed on 9 January 2017 from eight union parishads of Comilla Sadar Dakshin Upazila and one of Laksam Upazila. It has a total area of 147.03 square kilometres (56.77 sq mi), and has Joynagar as its headquarters.
