The basketball tournaments of NCAA Season 85 refers to the basketball events of the Philippine National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)'s 2009–10 season. This is the first season without the PCU Dolphins who have taken an indefinite leave of absence after several of their juniors' division players were found to have used falsified documents to enter the school. Also, three guest teams will take part in the basketball events with all three eligible to win championships.

Team USA qualified for the 2013 FIVB Women's World Grand Champions Cup in Japan, after winning the Continental Championship 3-1 to the Dominican Republic. American Kelly Murphy won the MVP Award.
The 2013 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 23rd edition of the tournament, played from 23 to 28 September 2013 at The Langley Events Centre in Langley, Canada. The event served as qualifier for the 2013 FIVB Men's World Grand Champions Cup.
The 2015 Girls Youth Volleyball World Championship was held in Lima, Peru from 7 August to 16 August 2015.
The tournament which will be held for qualification process for the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup in Japan. The tournament will be played from June 1 to June 7 in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina. The top two teams will qualify for the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup.

The UAAP Season 79 volleyball tournaments started on February 4, 2017 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, with the opening games of the men and women's senior volleyball tourneys, participated by 8 regular UAAP members. Aside from the Smart Araneta Coliseum, the games will also be held at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan City and the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay. The tournament host is the University of Santo Tomas, the season's host school.
The Shakey's V-League 13th Season Open Conference was the 25th conference of the Shakey's V-League and the first conference for its 13th season. The conference commenced on May 22, 2016 with an opening ceremony at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan. The first games were on May 28, 2016, also at the same venue.
The 2016–17 Women's Volleyball Thailand League was the 12th season of the Thai League, the top Thai professional league for association volleyball clubs, since its establishment in 2005. A total of 8 teams competed in the league. The season started on 29 October 2016.
The 2019 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 31st edition of the Women's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV from 23 August to 8 September 2019. For the first time the Women's EuroVolley was held in four countries: Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Turkey. The number of national teams participating in the event was also expanded from 16 to 24.

The volleyball competition at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games was held in Barranquilla, Colombia at the Humberto Perea Coliseum. The women's tournament was held from the 20 to 25 July, whilst the men's tournament was held from the 28 July to 2 August.
The 2021 Women's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 27th edition of the tournament, and was played from 26 August to 31 August 2021 in Guadalajara, Mexico. The champion and first runner-ups will qualify for the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship.
The 2021 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 27th edition of the tournament, and was held in Durango City, Mexico from 18 to 23 August 2021. The first and second places qualified to the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship.
The NCAA Season 97 women's volleyball tournament started on June 11, 2022 at Paco Arena in Paco, Manila, Philippines. Only the women's tournament was held due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines. The men's, boys' and girls' volleyball tournaments were not be held this season due to the pandemic.
NCAA Season 98 is the 2022–23 athletic year of the National Collegiate Athletic Association in the Philippines. It is hosted by Emilio Aguinaldo College and was opened on September 10, 2022.
