NTV is a Kenyan general entertainment channel. The channel was rebranded on 4 April 2005 as revamp from the previous Nation TV station under the Nation Media Group arm that has been in existence since 1997.

It is a popular TV Station in Kenya along with Citizen TV, Kenya Television Network, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation among other Kenyan broadcasting channels. [1] NTV shut down its analogue signal together with two competing private networks in late December 2013, as part of the migration to digital terrestrial television in Kenya. [1]

YouTube

In September 2007, NTV went online with its content on YouTube. Within the first month it received over 325,000 views, three honors, and an average of 4,000 views for every video uploaded. In mid-2012, NTV went live on YouTube. Following this move, the blogosphere was awash with accolades with NTV's US correspondent (BMJ) Ben Mutua Jonathan Muriithi terming it a techno-revolution for mass media among Kenyans across the globe.

Daniel Wambua Ndambuki famously known as Churchill is a Kenyan comedian who hosts the comedy television show Churchill Show on NTV Kenya. Churchill was born in Kitui town, but moved to Machakos. He has worked in the comedy industry since 1996 and has now become a household name in Kenya. He launched the Churchill Live Comedy Show in September 2008 but was renamed Churchill Show during its third season in 2012. The show has given a platform to hundreds of comedians in the country, the most successful ones being Eric Omondi, Teacher Wanjiku, Professor Hammo, MCA Tricky, Jemutai, Magazine and Dr. Kingori.

TV47 is a late entrant in the mass media in Kenya. There are more than 50 television stations in Kenya.
