Nabil Mohammed Saghir Al-Garbi (born 3 November 1993 in Dhamar) is a retired Yemeni middle-distance runner.
He finished twelfth in the 3000 metres at the 2009 World Youth Championships. In the same year he competed at the 2009 World Cross Country Championships, placing lowly. [2] On the regional level he finished eleventh in the 3000 metres steeplechase at the 2010 Asian Games, did not finish the steeplechase race at the 2013 Asian Championships, competed in the 1500 metres at the 2011 Pan Arab Games without reaching the final, and contested the 2014 Asian Games marathon —once again without finishing.
On the global level he competed in the 1500 metres at the 2011 World Championships, the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2013 World Championships without reaching the final. [2]
His personal best times are 3:50.17 minutes in the 1500 metres, achieved at the 2011 World Championships in Daegu; 8:22.43 minutes in the 3000 metres, achieved in July 2009 in Aleppo; 9:16.80 minutes in the steeplechase, achieved at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou; and 14:36.13 minutes in the 5000 metres, achieved in October 2010 in Aleppo. Saif Saaeed Shaheen, formerly Stephen Cherono, is a retired steeplechase runner. He was born in Keiyo, Kenya but now he represents Qatar. He was, for 19 years, the world record holder for 3000 metre steeplechase. He is a two time World Champion in the event. His older brother Abraham Cherono is also a steeplechase runner.
Brimin Kipruto is a Kenyan professional middle distance runner who specialises in the 3000 metres steeplechase. He was born in Korkitony, Keiyo District. He holds a personal best of 7:53.64 minutes which is the second fastest time ever run, and the African Record. His personal best is only 0.01 of a second behind the world record of former country mate Saif Saaeed Shaheen, who switched national affiliation to Qatar after growing up as Stephen Cherono in the Keiyo District.
Paul Kipsiele Koech is a Kenyan runner who specializes in the 3000 metres steeplechase. He won the 2004 Olympic bronze medal in this event. His personal best of 7:54.31 minutes is the third fastest of all time.
Günther Weidlinger is an Austrian long-distance runner who is a former 3000 metres steeplechase specialist but now competes in the marathon.
Silvia Sommaggio is a retired Italian long-distance runner who specializes in the 5000 and 10,000 metres as well as cross-country and road running.
Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad is a retired French professional middle-distance runner of Algerian descent who mainly competed in the 3000 metres steeplechase. He is the only man to win three Olympic steeplechase medals, claiming silver in 2008 and 2012 and bronze in 2016. He also won two bronze medals at the IAAF World Championships in Athletics in 2011 and 2013. Mekhissi-Benabbad earned titles at five consecutive editions of the European Athletics Championships between 2010 and 2018.
Harriet "Hatti" Archer is a British long-distance runner who competes in cross country and steeplechase. She set three British national records in the 3000 metres steeplechase in 2007, most notably at a rain soaked event at Don Valley Stadium in July of that year. She competed at five World Cross Country Championships between 2005 and 2011, with her best result being 15th in Mombasa in 2007. She finished in the top ten at the European Cross Country Championships in 2008 (8th) and 2010 (7th), an event at which she has also won four team medals.
Iaroslav Mușinschi is a Moldovan long-distance runner who competes in marathon races. He represented his country at the Summer Olympics in 2000, 2008 and 2012.

He finished twelfth in the 5000 metres at the 2002 World Junior Championships, but then turned to the steeplechase. He finished fourth at the 2004 African Championships, won the gold medal at the 2005 Jeux de la Francophonie, finished fifth at the 2006 African Championships and eleventh at the 2007 World Athletics Final. Ezzine also competed at the 2005 World Championships, the 2007 World Championships and the 2008 Olympic Games without reaching the final.

She is also the Tunisian record holder in the event, having run 9:05.36 at the Memorial van Damme in Brussels in September 2015.
Elena Romagnolo is an Italian steeplechaser, middle and long-distance runner. She is the national record holder in the 3000 metres steeplechase, but now competes mainly in the 5000 metres.
José Gregorio Peña Trejo is a Venezuelan track and field athlete who specialises in the 3000 metres steeplechase. His personal best for the event is 8:20.87 minutes
Minori Hayakari (早狩実紀) is a Japanese track and field athlete who specialises in the 3000 metres steeplechase. Her personal best of 9:33.93 minutes is the Japanese record and she has won straight Japanese national titles since the first event in 2005, taking her sixth title in 2011.
Shigeyuki Aikyo is a Japanese former track and field athlete who specialised in the 3000 metres steeplechase. He was the gold medallist at the 1986 Asian Games and the 1985 Asian Athletics Championships. He was also a two-time Universiade bronze medallist and a two-time national champion.
Agnes Tschurtschenthaler is an Italian middle- and long-distance runner who specialized in the 1500 metres and 3000 metres steeplechase.
