Nadipudi is a panchayat village in Penugonda mandal in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Previously, it used to part of Narsapur Taluk. [1] Ancestors of freedom fighter and politician Kala Venkata Rao are from this village. [2] There is temple of Lord Subrahmanya, which very popular among people in that area. The etymology of the name Nadipudi is from Nadi-poodi (the river that filled up) as Nadi stands for river and pudi is filled in Telugu. The village is on the banks of Vashsta Godavari. Former congress MLC and former State President of A.P. Coopeartive Consumers Federation Nekkanti Venkata Janarthana Rao hailed from this village and film producer NVV Satyanarayana who made Telugu blockbusters like Adavai Ramudu with NTR and Kumar Raja with Krishna under Satya Chitra banner was his brother.

Nadipudiis located at 16°38′56″N81°50′02″E / 16.6488°N 81.8340°E / 16.6488; 81.8340 . [3] It has an average elevation of 14 metres (46 ft). Nadipudi has its own railway station connecting major cities.

Alluri Sitarama Raju was an Indian revolutionary, who waged an armed campaign against the British colonial rule in India. Born in present-day Andhra Pradesh, he was involved in opposing the British in response to the 1882 Madras Forest Act which restricted the free movement of Adivasis in their forest habitats, and prevented them from practicing their traditional form of agriculture called podu. Rising discontent towards the British led to the Rampa Rebellion of 1922, in which Alluri sita rama raju played the major role as its leader. Mustering combined forces of Adivasis, farmers and other sympathizers to the cause, he engaged in guerilla campaigns against the British in the border regions of then Madras Presidency, now parts of East Godavari and Visakhapatnam. He was given the epithet—"Manyam Veerudu" by the local villagers for his heroic exploits.

Tanuku is a town in West Godavari district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the mandal headquarters of Tanuku mandal in Narasapuram revenue division. Tanuku is the fourth largest city in the West Godavari district after Bhimavaram, Tadepalligudem and Palakollu in terms of population.

Gudlavalleti Chalapati Rao or Gudlavalleti Venkata Chalapati Rao was a noted writer, philosopher and an ex Deputy commissioner of Endowments Department in the Government of Andhra Pradesh. He was born in 1915 at Gudlavalleru, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh to Venkata Ramaih Gudlavalleti and Suryakantham Gudlavalleti. He graduated from Andhra University and also took a law degree from Madras University. After his education, he served in the Revenue, Employment & Training and Endowments Departments, finally retired as Selection Grade Deputy Collector, finally settling down at Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He was married to Krishnaveni amma Gudlavalleti and has three sons and a daughter.

Sri Balusu Prabhakara Buchi Krishna Satyanarayana Rao, also known as S. B. P. B. K. Satyanarayana Rao, was a Telugu Indian industrialist, politician, and the zamindar of Kapileswarapuram. He was a Union Minister and active in the Circar districts of India. He served as Minister of State for Agriculture in the Vajpayee government for two years between 1999 and 2001. He was elected to the AP Legislative Council from the North Circar Districts Graduates Constituency in 1958 and 1980. His last rites were performed at his native village.
