Nadir Shukurov (born February 28, 1967) is an Azerbaijani former footballer.

During his career he played for Azerbaijani sides Baku, Qarabağ, MKT Araz, Gabala and Karvan. During his time with Karvan, on 19 April 2009, Shukurov became the oldest player to play in the Azerbaijan Premier League. Shukurov had initially retired at the end of the 2007–08 season, but had retained his playing registration in case he was called upon. Due to Karvan's injury problems at the time, he stepped in helped halt a seven-game losing streak in their 3-1 victory over Mughan. [1]

The Azerbaijan Premier League is a professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Azerbaijan football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. The Olimpik-Shuvalan 2009–10 season was Olimpik-Shuvalan's fifth Azerbaijan Premier League season and their first season with Nazim Suleymanov as manager. They participated in the 2009–10 Azerbaijan Premier League as well as the 2009–10 Azerbaijan Cup, finishing the league in 7th place and being knocked out of the Cup at the Semifinal stage by Khazar Lankaran.

The 2013–14 Azerbaijan Premier League is the 22nd season of Azerbaijan Premier League, the Azerbaijani professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1992. Neftchi Baku are the defending champions, having won the previous season.

The Neftchi Baku 2007–08 season was Neftchi Baku's sixteenth Azerbaijan Premier League season. They started the season under the management of Gurban Gurbanov, who was replaced by Vlastimil Petržela after the UEFA Cup qualifiers at the start of September. Petržela was replaced by Anatoliy Demyanenko on 5 January 2008. They finished 3rd in the league and were knocked out of the Azerbaijan Cup at the semifinal stage by Inter Baku. Neftchi also took part in the UEFA Cup, being eliminated at the First qualifying round by SV Ried of Austria.
