Namika Lahti was a basketball club based in Lahti, Finland. The club played in the Korisliiga, the top Finnish championship league. The club was established in 1898 in Vyborg and moved to Lahti in 1947. In 2015, the club was dissolved, after economic problems.
"Namika" is a nickname for NMKY, meaning YMCA. The association was founded in 1898 in Vyborg, and moved to Lahti after the World War II as Vyborg became a part of Soviet Union. [1]

The Korisliiga is the top-tier professional basketball league in Finland, comprising the top 12 teams of the country. In its current format, each team plays all other teams two times in the regular season, once at home and once away, for a total of 22 regular season games. The top six teams advances continues to upper stage and the bottom six teams plays lower stage after 22 games, 5 games at home and 5 games at away versus all other teams in stage. The best two teams from lower group joins to playoffs with upper group teams. Playoffs are played best of seven format, except the quarter-finals which are played best of 5 format. Pantterit holds the record for the most league titles won, with 14. The top level Finnish league for women is the Naisten Korisliiga.
Lappeenrannan NMKY is a basketball club based in a city of Lappeenranta, Finland. It was formed in 1951 as a Young Men's Christian Association and has won two Finnish Championships and two Finnish Cups.
The Korisliiga is the premier basketball league in Finland. The 2006-07 season was the 67th Finnish club basketball season. It began on September 30, 2006 and ended on April 24, 2007. Espoon Honka won the Final series by 3-0 against Namika Lahti and obtained their sixth national championship. Sami Lehtoranta won the MVP Award and Jukka Matinen won the Finals MVP Award.

Mikko Otto Petteri Niemi is a Finnish retired basketball player. 185 cm tall point guard Niemi played in Korisliiga for his foster club Tampereen Pyrintö (Pyrbasket) for three seasons before departing to Youngstown State University, where he stayed between 2005 and 2009. After that he played for one more season in Korisliiga, this time in Lappeenrannan NMKY.

Lahti Basketball is a Finnish basketball club based in Lahti. It plays in the Korisliiga, the highest tier league in Finland. A phoenix club, the club was established in 2015 as a successor of Namika Lahti. Martin Mustonen and Kari Härkönen, also active with Namika, founded the club in August. Finnish international Vesa Mäkäläinen transferred from Namika to the new club.
