Korisliiga Most Valuable Player

In the Korisliiga , the top Finnish professional basketball league, two awards are considered the Most Valuable Player award. The first, the Player of the Year, goes to the best Finnish player in the league. The second, is the Best Foreigner (in Finnish, vuoden ulkomaalaisvahvistus).

The Korisliiga is the top-tier professional basketball league in Finland, comprising the top 12 teams of the country. In its current format, each team plays all other teams two times in the regular season, once at home and once away, for a total of 22 regular season games. The top six teams advances continues to upper stage and the bottom six teams plays lower stage after 22 games, 5 games at home and 5 games at away versus all other teams in stage. The best two teams from lower group joins to playoffs with upper group teams. Playoffs are played best of seven format, except the quarter-finals which are played best of 5 format. Pantterit holds the record for the most league titles won, with 14. The top level Finnish league for women is the Naisten Korisliiga.

Teemu Rannikko is a Finnish former professional basketball player and currently working as an assistant coach of Finland national team. He is 1.89 m tall, and he weighs 88 kg (195 lbs.). He mainly played at the point guard position. At his peak, he was known as a good scorer and a steady defender.

Jeb Ivey is an American former professional basketball player. He won the Icelandic championship twice, with Njarðvík in 2006, and with Snæfell in 2010. He also won the Finnish championship twice with Nilan Bisons Loimaa in 2012 and 2013 where he was named the Korisliiga Finals MVP both times.

HIFK Naiset, also known as Stadin Gimmat, is an ice hockey team in the Finnish Auroraliiga. They play in the Pirkkola district of Helsinki at the Pirkkolan jäähalli. The team is the representative women's ice hockey team of the multisport club Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna, Helsingfors and is operated by Oy HIFK-Hockey Ab, the same organization that owns the HIFK men's ice hockey team of the Liiga – HIFK Naiset are one of only two Auroraliiga teams owned directly by a Liiga team.

Awak Sabit Bior Kuier is a Finnish professional basketball player who competes for Reyer Venezia in the Italian Lega Basket Femminile and for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Porin Pesäkarhut are a pesäpallo club based in Pori, Finland. They currently only have a women's team which competes in the Superpesis. The club was established in 1985. They play in the Pori Pesäpallo Stadium. They have won the Finnish Championship three times, in 2002, in 2021 and in 2023.

Edon Maxhuni is a Finnish professional basketball player who plays as a point guard for SIG Strasbourg of the LNB Pro A. He is also part of the Finland national team

Severi Tino Kalevi Kaukiainen is a Finnish professional basketball player who plays as a point guard for Estonian club Kalev/Cramo in the Korvpalli Meistriliiga and Latvian–Estonian Basketball League.

Erik Sajantila is a Finnish basketball player who plays for Helsinki Seagulls in Finnish Korisliiga. He played for Helsinki Basketball Academy team HBA-Märsky during 2017–2021, before starting his senior career with Lahti.

Trey Niemi is a Finnish professional basketball player who plays as a point guard for Tampereen Pyrintö in the Korisliiga.
