The BLS Super League MVP, or Serbian Super League MVP, is the award bestowed to the player, deemed to be the "Most Valuable Player" during the second part of a season of the Basketball League of Serbia. The Basketball League of Serbia is the top-tier level national men's professional club basketball league in Serbia. The award has existed and has been awarded by the Serbian League since the 2006–07 season.

The 2017 Serbia EuroBasket team represented Serbia and won the silver medal at the EuroBasket 2017 in Helsinki (Finland), Tel Aviv (Israel), Cluj-Napoca (Romania) and Istanbul (Turkey). They were automatically qualified for the EuroBasket by taking the 4th place in EuroBasket 2015. The team was coached by Aleksandar Đorđević, with assistant coaches Miroslav Nikolić, Milan Minić and Jovica Antonić.

The Serbian Basketball Player of the Year award is established in 2015 to recognize the best basketball player of the year from Serbia. The winners are men's and women's basketball players who have Serbian citizenship, and whose performances with its basketball club and/or national team throughout the year has reached the highest level of excellence. All players with Serbian citizenship, regardless of where they play in the world, qualify for the award. The inaugural recipients were Nemanja Bjelica and Ana Dabović. The winners are selected by the Basketball Federation of Serbia.
KK Crvena zvezda is a men's professional basketball club based in Belgrade, Serbia, which has youth system teams, cadets (under-16) and juniors. The U18 and U19 teams play in the RODA Junior Basketball League of Serbia and the Junior Adriatic League. They have won a Euroleague Basketball Next Generation Tournament. The U16 team plays in the Triglav Cadet Basketball League of Serbia.

The 2019 Serbia FIBA Basketball World Cup team represented Serbia at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup in China. Serbia finished the tournament in fifth place with a 6–2 record and qualified for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
The 2020 Serbia men's OQT basketball team represented Serbia at the 2020 FIBA Men's Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Belgrade, Serbia in June and July 2021. The team coached by Igor Kokoškov and led by team captain Miloš Teodosić failed to qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics.
