The Greek Basketball League MVP is the yearly MVP award that is awarded by the 1st-tier professional basketball league in Greece, the Greek Basketball League (GBL).
Since the 2014–15 season, the Greek Basketball League MVP award is voted on by the fans online, whereas previously it was not. The voting is currently decided by a ratio of 40% by the fans and the media, and 60% by the head coaches and the captains of each of the 14 teams of the Greek Basketball League. [1] [2]

Vassilis Spanoulis, also commonly known as Bill Spanoulis, or Billy Spanoulis is a Greek former professional basketball player and coach, who was most recently the head coach of the pro club Peristeri Athens of the Greek Basket League, as well as the head coach of the senior men's Greek national team. In the sport of basketball, Spanoulis is known worldwide for his signature move as a player, which is commonly known as "Spanoulis Action", or simply "Spanoulis". Use of the Spanoulis play has become popular in the NBA, and in other basketball leagues and competitions around the world. During his pro playing career, at a height of 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m) tall, and a weight of 212 lb (96 kg), Spanoulis played as a point guard-shooting guard, and was nicknamed Kill Bill, V-Span, Greek Thunder, and MVP. Spanoulis was named the Balkan Athlete of the Year in 2009, the Eurobasket Player of the Year in 2012 and 2013, the International Sports Prize's World Athlete of the Year in 2013, and the EuroLeague MVP the same year. He earned a record eight All-EuroLeague Team selections and was voted the EuroLeague's 2010–2020 Player of the Decade. Spanoulis retired as the EuroLeague's all-time career leader in assists and total points scored.
The Greek football PSAP awards are a number of awards given annually by the Greek Union of Professional Football Players (PSAP) (Greek: Πανελλήνιος Σύνδεσμος Αμειβομένων Ποδοσφαιριστών). These awards are given annually to players playing in the Super League Greece, Super League Greece 2 and Gamma Ethniki. Managers and referees are also awarded by the PSAP on an annual basis.
Peristeri B.C., or Peristeri Athens B.C. is a Greek professional basketball club that is located in Peristeri, Greece, which is both a city and a suburb in the western part of the Athens agglomeration. The club's full name is Gymnastikos Syllogos Peristeriou K.A.E.. It is a part of the G.S. Peristeri multi-sports club. The club was founded on October 22, 1971.

The award is given to the player that is deemed by the Greek sports media to have had the most impressive highlight plays of the season, which are usually in the vast majority of the time, slam dunk highlights. However, other kinds of spectacular highlight plays can also taken into account for the award.

The Greek Basketball Super Cup or Hellenic Basketball Super Cup, is the top-tier level professional basketball national super cup competition in Greece. The first edition of the tournament, was organized by the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.), in 1986. It was contested by the Greek Basket League champions and the Greek Basketball Cup winners. However, the Greek Basketball Super Cup was revived in 2020, by the Hellenic Basketball Association (HEBA), under a final four tournament format.

The 2022–23 Super League Greece, known as Stoiximan Super League for sponsorship reasons, was the 87th season of the Super League Greece, the top Greek professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1959. Olympiacos were the defending champions. As the 2022 FIFA World Cup was started on 21 November, the last round before stoppage was held on 13 November. The league was resumed games on 21 December.

Players and head coaches are nominated for the honor, by the governing body of the Greek Basketball League, the Hellenic Basketball Association (HEBA).
The 2022–23 Basket League was the 11th season of the Basket League, the top professional basketball league in Greece, since its establishment in 2012, and the 83rd season of top-flight Greek basketball overall.
The 2023 Greek Basketball Super Cup is the 4th edition of the revived Greek professional domestic basketball super cup competition, under the auspices of the Hellenic Basketball Clubs Association (HEBA), and the 5th overall. The Greek Basketball Super Cup had been played only four times before, in 1986 under the auspices of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.), in 2020, 2021, and 2022. All games were hosted in Kallithea Palais des Sports in Rhodes, Greece.
