Namo Narayana is an Indian actor who primarily works in Tamil films. He made a breakthrough as an actor with his performances in Naadodigal (2009) and Komban (2015).

Career

Narayana was a software engineer before he chose to star in a supporting role in Samuthirakani's Naadodigal (2009). He was close friend of Samuthirakani during bachelor days. Post-release, he became a close friend of the lead actor Sasikumar, and has often collaborated in their films, such as Easan (2010), Poraali (2011), Kutti Puli (2013) and Nimirndhu Nil (2014). [1] [2] [3] [4] In 2015, Narayana described his role in Komban as a breakthrough role in his career at the film's press meet. [1] [5] [6] He played one of the lead roles in Appa (2016). [7] [8] He played the antagonist in Thondan (2017). [9]

Nimirndhu Nil is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by Samuthirakani featuring Jayam Ravi in dual role and Amala Paul. It was produced by KS Sreenivasan's Vaasan Visual Ventures. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. Jayam Ravi played a revolutionist for a social cause. The film, which was simultaneously made in Telugu as Janda Pai Kapiraju with Nani in place of Jayam Ravi, released on 8 March 2014 and received mostly positive reviews.

<i>Janda Pai Kapiraju</i> 2015 Indian film

Janda Pai Kapiraju is a 2015 Indian Telugu-language political action drama film. Janda Pai Kapiraju was written and directed by Samuthirakani, and features Nani in dual roles and Amala Paul in lead roles. The film's soundtrack and score were composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. A second version was concurrently made in the Tamil language, titled Nimirndhu Nil, with Jayam Ravi in the main role. While the Tamil version with Jayam Ravi released in 2014, the Telugu version was released on March 21, 2015. Nani played a double role for the first time in his career. Despite already having a Tamil version, the Telugu version was dubbed and released in Tamil as Velan Ettuthikkum in 2018.

The film released on 2 April 2015 to positive reviews.

<i>Appa</i> (2016 film) 2016 Tamil-language independent drama film

Appa is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language independent drama film written and directed by Samuthirakani and is produced by Sasikumar who also plays a guest appearance. The film is a spin-off to the 2012 film Saattai and the second instalment in the film series. The film features Samuthirakani and Thambi Ramaiah reprising their roles from the previous film, while Namo Narayanan, Vignesh and Nasath play supporting roles. Featuring music composed by Ilaiyaraaja, the film began production in late 2015 and continued till March 2016. The film was released on 1 July 2016. The film was remade in Malayalam as Aakashamittayi (2017) with Jayaram playing the main lead.

A. L. Ramesh is an Indian film editor, who has worked on Tamil and Telugu films. He has often collaborated on ventures associated with directors Samuthirakani and Sasikumar. Before entering into film industry he worked in the Tamil serial industry. Thondan (transl. Votary) is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language vigilante drama film written and directed by Samuthirakani. The film stars Samuthirakani himself, with Vikranth, Sunaina, Arthana Binu, Gouri Nair, and Namo Narayana amongst others in pivotal roles. The music is composed by Justin Prabhakaran with editing by A. L. Ramesh. The venture began production in December 2016 and had a theatrical release on 26 May 2017.

<i>Kodiveeran</i> 2017 Indian film

Kodiveeran is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by M. Muthaiah. Sasikumar and Mahima Nambiar play the lead pair in the movie alongside Vidharth, Pasupathy, Shamna Kasim, Sanusha, and Bala Saravanan in supporting roles. This is Sasikumar and Muthaiah's second collaboration after Kutti Puli. Kodiveeran is produced by Sasikumar's Company Productions. The music was composed by N. R. Raghunanthan, cinematography by S. R. Kathir, and editing by Venkat Raajen. The film released on 7 December 2017.

Arthana Binu is an Indian actress who works in Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu film industries. Coming from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, she made her debut in the 2016 Telugu film Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu. She is known for films such as Mudhugauv (2016), Thondan (2017), Semma (2018) and Kadaikutty Singam (2018).

<i>Kaari</i> (film) 2022 Indian film by Hemanth

Kaari (transl. Effective) is an 2022 Indian Tamil-language sports action drama film written and directed by Hemanth, in his directorial debut, and produced by S. Lakshman Kumar under the banner of Prince Pictures. The film stars M. Sasikumar, Parvathy Arun, J. D. Chakravarthy and Balaji Sakthivel, with Aadukalam Naren, Ammu Abhirami, Redin Kingsley and Nagineedu in supporting roles. The music was composed by D. Imman, and cinematography and editing handled by Ganesh Chandhrra and T. Shivanandeeswaran, respectively.
