Born in 1957 to the late Opanyin Kojo Obiri Asamoah and Madam Nana Yaa Manu in the Ashanti Region, specifically Bantam, a suburb of Kumasi, and the second child among eight siblings, he played highlife tunes for years. His parents would not permit him to become a musician, so he started out his musical career in Amsterdam, Holland, where he was based for years as a songwriter, composing songs for other artistes.
As a promoter of artistes and producer in 1988, he helped promote artistes in Amsterdam, including the group Osofo Dadzie. In 1990, he self-produced and released his first album Abrabo, and his second album was released in 1992 titled Odo me ne wobeko. The songs "Feeling bam" and "Odo me ne wobeko" were his first commercially successful singles in Ghana and abroad.
The last song he released was in 2011, track titled "Wo be so Mama".
He returned to Ghana after several years abroad, and is currently the chairman of the newly constituted interim Ghana Music Right Organization (GHAMRO) board. [2] He is also a timber merchant.

Jeff Tennyson Quaye, professionally known by his stage name Jay Q, is a Ghanaian musician, record producer, record executive, sound engineer, songwriter and keyboardist. He is the founder and current CEO of Q-Lex Entertainment and Jay-Qlex Recording Studio. He has produced albums for and overseen the careers of many musicians, including Buk Bak, VIP, Castro, Mzbel, Obrafour, Daddy Lumba, Nana Acheampong, Ofori Amponsah, Akosua Agyapong, Obuoba J. A. Adofo, Wulomei, and others. As a producer Jay Q is credited as a key figure in the popularization of Hiplife, Highlife and Gospel. He introduced Jama (kpanlogo) into Hiplife, which became laudable and was accepted in Ghana, Africa and the rest of the World. In 2003, Jay Q won an award for Best Sound Engineer in Ghana.
Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda(born 23 June 1992), better known by her stage name MzVee, is a Ghanaian singer, afropop, dancehall and R&B artiste. Her debut solo album features several hit singles including 'Borkor Borkor', 'Natural Girl' and 'Dancehall Queen'. MzVee was signed to the record label Lynx Entertainment and was the winner of the New Artiste of the Year award at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards. She parted ways with Lynx Entertainment in the year 2019. She is currently a solo artist.

Martin King Arthur popularly known as Kofi Kinaata is a Ghanaian musician and songwriter from Takoradi. He is noted for his Fante rap and freestyle and therefore known as the Fante Rap God (FRG). Apart from his rap prowess, he has grown into a very good singer taking the highlife genre by storm.
Diana Hopeson is Ghanaian gospel singer and a former president of the Musicians Union of Ghana. In 2021 she was selected by BJ Sam the Nigerian international singer and producer to represent Ghana in the first universal Christmas music project with other global music icons including Hollywood Actor Paul Raci, Bollywood payback singer Jaspinder Narula, Swiss actress Christina Zurbrügg Her contributions to the Ghanaian Art industry won her a National Honors Award, which was presented to her by former president John Agyekum Kufuor in 2007. In March 2021, she was among the Top 30 Most Influential Women in Music by the 3Music Awards Women's Brunch. She was also a GHAMRO board member and also the Chairperson of the Interim Management Board of the Copyright Society of Ghana.
Dennis Nana Dwamena, better known as KiDi, is a Ghanaian afrobeats and high-life singer-songwriter. He is signed to Lynx Entertainment and is best known for his global hit single Touch It. The remix features American rapper Tyga and has received massive streaming across the world.
Rex Omar is a Ghanaian highlife artist. He first rose to prominence in 1989 with the Aware Pa album which also included the track, Wodofo Ne Hwan? Following this, in 1992 he formed the Highlife Supergroup Nakorex together with fellow Highlife artists Nat Brew and Akosua Agyapong, the group's name being an acronym made up of the first letters of each member's name. He then pursued a solo career. He performed together with Sony Achiba. In 2004 Omar was nominated for a Kora award, and in 2005 he was nominated as Artiste of the Year in the Ghana Music Awards.
