The Western Peripheral Expressway (WPE) or Kundli–Manesar–Palwal Expressway, is an operational 6-lane, 135.6 km (84.3 mi)-long Expressway in the Haryana state of India. Shivamogga Airport is a greenfield airport to be built at Sogane Village, 8.8 km (5.5 mi) from Shivamogga and 8.2 km (5.1 mi) from Bhadravathi in Karnataka, India. The airport was to be built under Public–private partnership (PPP) with the Government of Karnataka (GoK). However, due to delays in project execution, the contract was terminated in January 2015. On 15 June 2020, Karnataka chief minister B. S. Yediyurappa laid the foundation to start the construction of Shivamogga airport at the cost of The ₹450-crore. The chief minister said the airport, to be constructed in two phases, will be completed in about a year.

There are plans to build a new airport for Bellary, a city in the Indian state of Karnataka. As of March 2020, the survey work has been started. The runway at the existing Bellary Airport is too short and narrow, and there is no room for its expansion. The new airport will be erected roughly 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) northeast of Bellary, near the villages of Chaganur and Sirivaram. The area of the airport is around 900 acres. The new Ballari airport will be the 10th airport of Karnataka.
Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), formerly Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation (HSIDC), headquartered at Panchkula, is a 100% state-owned agency of the government of Haryana in the Indian state of Haryana. For ease of doing business, Haryana is the first state in India to introduce a labour policy in 2005 and Land Pooling Policy in 2017, for which HSIIDC acts as the nodal agency. Haryana Financial Corporation provides financial assistance for setting up new industrial units and for the expansion and diversification of the existing industries. Various universities, educational and training institutes, including the nation's first skills university Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University, provide the human resources to capitalise on the infrastructure created by the HSIIDC.
