Nashik Metropolitan Region (NMR) is the metropolitan region around the city of Nashik. The Nashik Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) [1] is the planning and development authority of the region formed. NMRDA is headed by the Deputy Chief minister of Maharashtra (presently by Eknath Shinde). Radhakrushna Game, IAS, is the chief executive officer. The authority is responsible for various town planning schemes.

Pimpri-Chinchwad, also known as PCMC, is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The Daman Ganga, also called the Dawan River, is a river in western India. The river's headwaters are on the western slope of the Western Ghats range, and it flows west into the Arabian Sea. The river flows through Maharashtra and Gujarat states, as well as the Union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. The industrial towns of Vapi, Dadra and Silvassa lie on the north bank of the river, and the town of Daman occupies both banks of the river's mouth.

The Greater Nashik Metro or Metro NEO is a proposed rapid transit system in the Nashik Metropolitan Region. The system is proposed to reduce traffic congestion as well as provide direct connectivity to Nashik city from its suburbs. The Greater Nashik Metro will connect suburbs of Nashik city like Deolali, Nashik Road, Upnagar, Nashik Airport, Sinnar, Igatpuri, Gangapur Road, Trimbakeshwar, Dindori, Bhagur, Niphad, Adgaon, Ghoti Budruk and Girnare.

The Samruddhi Mahamarg or Nagpur-Mumbai Expressway and Maharashtra Expressway-2 (ME-2), is a partially opened 6-lane wide, 701-km long access-controlled expressway in Maharashtra, India. It is amongst the country's longest greenfield road projects, which will connect the two capital cities of the state, its capital, Mumbai, and its third-largest and alternate capital city, Nagpur. This project was the brainchild of Devendra Fadnavis and was conceptualised by him when he was chief minister of the state back in 2015. It is being led by the state infrastructure arm Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), and is designed under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) model.
The Pune–Nasik railway line is a proposed higher speed railway between the cities of Pune and Nashik. The project will allow trains to cover the 235.5 km route in around two hours at speeds of up to 200 km/h, including future-proofing for 250 km/h.
Nashik Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) is the Planning and Development Authority for the Nashik Metropolitan Region. It was notified in the year 2018, making an urban unit in Maharashtra. NMRDA covers, Nashik city and all Talukas of Nashik: Niphad, Sinnar, Dindori, Igatpuri, and Trimbakeshwar. NMRDA has been set up as a legally empowered and a self-financing corporate body by the Urban Development Department of the Government of Maharashtra.
