Nathaniel Gentry [1] (born 1975 or 1976) [2] is an American lawmaker and former Republican member of the New Mexico House of Representatives representing District 30 from January 18,2011,to January 21,2019. [3] He was a principal figure in the GOP takeover of the New Mexico State House in 2014,resulting in his election as the first Republican Majority Floor Leader in over 60 years. After Democrats regained control of the chamber in 2016,he was elected by the Republican Caucus as the House Minority Leader.[ citation needed ]
Gentry earned his BA from Rhodes College in 1998 and his JD from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2003. [2]
