Nathaniel Gregory Sizemore (born May 19, 1986) is an American author, attorney, and entrepreneur.
Nathaniel Sizemore was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and grew up in Lakeside Park, Kentucky as a fourth generation Northern Kentuckian. He attended high school at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy where he was active in the Fine Arts program and played on the basketball team. Sizemore attended college at Furman University on a partial academic scholarship and, in 2008, he received his B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude. At Furman, Sizemore was the President of the Pre-Law Society, a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, and received the Political Science Faculty Award which recognizes students who have shown exceptional devotion and service to the Political Science department’s faculty, staff, and students. In 2011, Sizemore received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School where he was an Associate Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review and was selected as a member of the Jessup Moot Court team.
After law school, Sizemore worked as an attorney at prominent law firms in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. His legal practice focused on construction litigation and government contracts, representing contractors, owners, subcontractors and sureties in all aspects of public and private development projects. Sizemore also sits on the board of Construction Industry Resources, a leading construction technology company based in Lexington, Kentucky. [1]
Seeing an opportunity to develop his family's company, Sizemore returned to Cincinnati to work in the family’s business, Sizemore & Company LLC, where he now serves as Senior Vice President & General Counsel. [2] Sizemore & Company is an association management, consulting, and talent solutions company focused on the engineering, construction, and IT industries. Sizemore & Company was twice included on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the United States. [3] And in 2022, Sizemore was runner-up for the University of Cincinnati’s Goering Center Rising Leader Award where his best practice was listed as “Dynamic Business Strategy.” [4]
Sizemore is also an award-winning novelist. [5] In 2021, Atlanta-based BDI Publishers released Sizemore’s debut legal/political thriller novel entitled Deadly Division. His first book received critical acclaim and earned several writing awards, including being named as a Finalist for the Hawthorne Prize. [6] His second novel, The Cohort, was released by BDI Publishers in late 2024 and was the #1 New Release Legal Thriller on Amazon on its publication date. [7]
Before writing novels, Sizemore was involved in the film industry. [8] He appeared in several feature films and served as a producer of the faith-based movie, Turbulent, which was shot in Park City, Kentucky. [9]
In the community, Sizemore sits on the boards of multiple organizations and, from 2023-2025, he served as the Chief Editor of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association’s Lex Loci magazine. [10] In the academic community, Sizemore has been an adjunct law professor at Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law and is a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Cincinnati. [11]
Sizemore lives in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, with his wife, Campbell County District Court Judge Erin Sizemore and their children. [12] They also manage the family horse farm, Oakmont Farm, located in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
