Naveen Polishetty is an Indian actor and screenwriter who primarily works in Telugu films. Naveen made his debut with the film Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya (2019). He then worked in the coming-of-age blockbuster film Chhichhore (2019), which marked his Hindi debut. Naveen subsequently worked in the comedy film Jathi Ratnalu (2021) and the romantic comedy Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty (2023). [3]
Polishetty was born into a middle class family in Hyderabad, India. He graduated in Civil engineering, from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (also known as NIT Bhopal). He moved to England to work as an engineer. He then decided to return to India to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. As his parents were opposed to it, he did not inform them of his return and lived in Mumbai by renting a house. He did part-time jobs to pursue a full-time career in acting, worked in theatre and performed in plays. [4]
Polishetty started his career by performing in theater plays. He subsequently moved to Mumbai where he started collaborating to make YouTube videos.
In 2019, Polishetty made his debut as a leading man in Telugu cinema with the comedy thriller film Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya , which he co-wrote and played the lead. He then made his Hindi cinema debut in Nitesh Tiwari's Chhichhore as Acid. Chhichhore went onto gross ₹150 crore globally and also earned Polishetty a Zee Cine Awards nomination for Best Actor in a comic role. He then starred in the 2021 comedy film Jathi Ratnalu . Polishetty won the Best Actor award at the SIIMA Awards for his portrayal of Jogipet Srikanth. He appeared in the 2023 film Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty where he played a stand-up comedian.

Jathi Ratnalu is a 2021 Indian Telugu-language comedy drama film written and directed by Anudeep K. V.. Produced by Nag Ashwin under Swapna Cinema, the film stars Naveen Polishetty, Priyadarshi, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Faria Abdullah, while Murali Sharma, Brahmanandam and Naresh play supporting roles. The music was composed by Radhan with cinematography by Siddam Manohar and editing by Abhinav Reddy Danda. The plot follows three happy-go-lucky men who arrive in the city for a better life but land up in jail for a crime they didn't commit. The film released theatrically on 11 March 2021. It received positive reviews from critics and became a blockbuster at the box office.
