Miss Universe is an annual international major beauty pageant that is run by a United States and Thailand-based Miss Universe Organization. Along with Miss World, Miss International, and Miss Earth, Miss Universe is one of the Big Four international beauty pageants.

Alejandra Andreu of Spain crowned Anagabriela Espinoza of Mexico as the new titleholder.

Alyssa Marie Campanella is an American model, blogger and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss USA 2011. Having previously been crowned Miss California USA 2011, Campanella was the sixth woman representing California to win the Miss USA title. As Miss USA, Campanella represented the United States at Miss Universe 2011, where she placed in the top sixteen. A native of New Jersey, Campanella was also crowned Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2007 and placed as the first runner-up at Miss Teen USA 2007.
Silvana Sánchez Jiménez; is a Costa Rican designer and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss World Costa Rica 2012 and represented her country in the Miss World 2012 pageant.

Reinas de Costa Rica is a national beauty pageant in Costa Rica that selects representatives to the Miss World and Miss International pageant. After the Miss Costa Rica pageant stopped sending contestants to the Miss World and Miss International pageants in 2006, the franchise was acquired by the Reinas de Costa Rica organization presided by Alan Aleman. However, after two years of absence in the Miss World pageant in 2017-2018, the organization eventually lost the franchise to the newly established contest, Concurso Nacional de Belleza de Costa Rica, in 2019. The organization also lost the Miss Earth franchise to Jose Vásconez in 2016.
Karina Ramos Leiton is a Costa Rican TV Host, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Costa Rica 2014 and represented her country at Miss Universe 2014. She's also the CEO, and owner of the modeling agency Imagination Agency S.A., created by her for preparing future beauty pageant candidates.
Miss World 2015, the 65th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 19 December 2015 at the outdoor arena of the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. 114 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Rolene Strauss of South Africa crowned her successor Mireia Lalaguna of Spain at the end of the event. It was the first time in the history of Miss World that Spain won the pageant.
Brenda Giselle Castro Madrigal is a Costa Rican model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Costa Rica 2015 and represented her country at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant. she also will represent Costa Rica at Miss Grand International 2019 in Caracas.
Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2010 was the 5th Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant held at the Linda Chapin Theatre in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida on August 15, 2009. Taylor Hanna Fitch of South Carolina crowned her successor Jeanette Morelan of Wisconsin at the end of the event. This was the first time that Miss Wisconsin's Outstanding Teen captured the title of Miss America's Outstanding Teen. Miss America 2009 Katie Stam was an emcee for the pageant.
