Career

Benson made his film debut in the 2014 film Polytechnic. Since then, he has acted in the films Iyobinte Pusthakam (2014), Varsham (2014), Mariyam Mukku (2015), Onnam Loka Mahayudham (2015), Kohinoor (2015), 100 Days of Love (2015), Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi (2016), Kali (2016), King Liar (2016), Inspector DawoodIbrahim (2016), Rakshadhikari Baiju Oppu (2017) and Vikruthi (2022). [4]

His elder brother Shebin Benson is also a Malayalam film actor. [5]

Vikruthi (transl. Mischief) is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language comedy drama film directed by Emcy Joseph and produced by A. D. Sreekumar, Ganesh Menon and Lakshmi Warrier. The film stars Suraj Venjarammoodu and Soubin Shahir in the lead roles. The film is based on true events that occurred on a Kochi Metro train, where a picture of a sleeping hearing/speech-impaired man was taken and shared online by a passenger assuming he was drunk. It upsets the man and his family after it goes viral. The film was released on 4 October 2019. The film was remade in Tamil as Payanigal Gavanikkavum.

The 38th Kerala Film Critics Association Awards, honouring the best Malayalam films released in 2014, were announced in April 2015. The awards were distributed at an event held in Trivandrum on 30 March 2016.
