The Neoplan N4009 is a low-floor midibus that was produced by Neoplan between 1988 and 1999, initially at Stuttgart in Germany and later also in Poland. It is the smaller version of the Neoplan N4016 full-size bus.
It has a rounded roof dome similar to the N4016 and a double-curvature windscreen with a separately mounted destination sign. It is 9 m (30 ft) long and 2.5 m (8 ft 2 in) wide, and is powered by a horizontal MAN or DAF engine with Voith or ZF Friedrichshafen transmission. It typically seated 23 with a large standing capacity.
Only three buses were sold in the United Kingdom. These were bought by MTL, Liverpool in 1995, and passed to MTL's successor Arriva North West & Wales in 2000. They were in service until 2008, when they were sold on to Heartlands Bus in the Midlands.
In mid to late 2010, the three right hand drive N4009s were scrapped and retired.

An articulated bus, also referred to as a slinky bus, banana bus, bendy bus, artic bus, tandem bus, vestibule bus, wiggle wagon, stretch bus, sausage bus or an accordion bus, is an articulated vehicle used in public transportation. The Neoplan Transliner was a series of related public transport single-decker bus models introduced by Neoplan USA in 1981 and produced until the company declared bankruptcy in 2006. It was available in various lengths ranging from 26 ft (8 m) to 60 ft (18 m) articulated, and was marketed against the Rapid Transit Series, Flxible Metro, Gillig Phantom, New Flyer High Floor, and Orion I.
The Neoplan Centroliner is a series of low-floor transit buses which was first unveiled in 1997, and mainly built by Neoplan Bus GmbH for the European market. At the time when it was first released, it adopted contemporary technologies like Controller Area Network.
Gillig is an American designer and manufacturer of buses. The company headquarters, along with its manufacturing operations, is located in Livermore, California. By volume, Gillig is the second-largest transit bus manufacturer in North America. As of 2013, Gillig had an approximate 31 percent market share of the combined United States and Canadian heavy-duty transit bus manufacturing industry, based on the number of equivalent unit deliveries.
The Neoplan Transliner in Europe is a single-decker inter-urban coach and rental coach built by Neoplan Bus GmbH for the European market in 1990s, of either a single-axle or multi-axle bus design. Some Dennis Javelin and MAN coaches in the United Kingdom also have the Transliner bodywork.
MTL Trust Holdings was an English bus, coach and train operator based in Liverpool. MTL was originally part of the MPTE. To comply with the Transport Act 1985, the bus operations were divested into a new independent company, Merseyside Transport Limited (MTL). Merseyside PTA retained shareholding, but the company was purchased by its management and staff in 1993. On 17 February 2000, MTL was purchased by Arriva.
Neoplan USA was a major transit bus manufacturing company based in Denver, Colorado. It started as a subsidiary of the German corporation Neoplan in 1981 with its main factory and headquarters in Lamar, Colorado. In 1998, Neoplan USA was acquired by Willis Stein & Partners and became an independent licensee of designs from the German company Neoplan. The company declared bankruptcy in 2006.
A bus stop kerb is a special kerb designed for low-floor buses that serve an elevated bus stop platform. The usage spread after good experiences with the Kassel kerb featuring a concave-section that allows for an easier alignment for buses. The kerb was first introduced in the German city of Kassel for the low-floor tram system but has since been adopted for use at traffic stops.
The Neoplan Jumbocruiser was an articulated double-deck multi-axle city coach built by Neoplan Bus GmbH between 1975 and 1992. At 18 metres (59 ft) in length, 2.5 m wide and 4 m (13 ft) in height, it is in the Guinness World Records as the world's largest bus with a capacity for 170 passengers.
The Neoplan N4016 was a low-floor single-decker bus built by Neoplan between 1988 and 1999, initially at Stuttgart in Germany and later also in Poland. It is the larger version of the Neoplan N4009 midibus.
Arriva North West is a major bus operator running services in North West England in the Merseyside area. It is a subsidiary of Arriva UK Bus.
The Neoplan Skyliner is a double-deck multi-axle luxury touring coach built by German coach manufacturer Neoplan. It was introduced in 1967.
Burgasbus is the public transit service of the city of Burgas, Bulgaria. It serves the majority of bus routes in Municipality of Burgas. It also runs to Varna, Yambol, Ruse and Elhovo.
Viseon Bus GmbH was a German bus, trolleybus and coach manufacturer, based in Pilsting, Bavaria, Germany. It was established in July 2008, and in April 2009 it took over the former Neoman bus and coach production facility of MAN Truck & Bus in Pilsting and a workforce of 220 employees. That plant had been manufacturing vehicles under the Neoplan brand, owned by MAN since 2001. Because of financial difficulties, Viseon Bus ceased production in 2013 and was liquidated in 2014.

It is the second most popular Solaris model in terms of the number of units sold. Since 2005, the third generation of the Urbino 18 is produced. In addition to the basic model, which is powered by a diesel engine which meets the Euro V emission standard, there are versions produced to meet the EEV and fueled with CNG or the second generation hybrid bus model.
The VöV-Standard-Bus is a standard for transit buses in Germany based on requirements by the VöV Association of German Transport Companies. The first concept was named Standard-Linienbus which resulted in multiple variants of VöV-Buses. The first generation was conceived in 1968 being in production to the mid 1980s when it was replaced by the second generation Standard-Linienbus II being in production up to 2000.
