Nepal Tarun Dal is the youth wing of Nepali Congress Party. The organization is one of the most influential youth organizations in Nepal with working level committees in all districts. The organization has a publication by the name of Tarun.

History

In 2012, the Nepal Tarun Dal stated their belief that the election scheduled by the government was unconstitutional. [1] On 14 April 2012, Nepali Congress announced Central committee of Tarun dal with 45 members, which is headed by President Udaya Shumsher Rana. Nepal Tarun Dal plans to hold its 4th National General Convention in the first week of February 2013.

Murder of Nabin Rana Magar

In 2013, the group stated that they believed that the death of Committee Member Nabin Rana Magar was murdered for political revenge. Nabin Rana Magar was found at the bottom of a cliff near Salleri VDC, and the subsequent investigation found that he had been murdered with a sharp weapon. Four people were arrested. [2] [3]

The Kot massacre took place on 14 September 1846 when then Kaji Jang Bahadur Kunwar and his brothers killed about 30-40 civil officials, military officers and palace guards of the Nepalese palace court including the Prime Minister of Nepal and a relative of the King, Chautariya Fateh Jung Shah along with other senior-most ministers and army generals at the palace armory (Kot) of Hanuman Dhoka in Kathmandu.

Young Communist League, Nepal is the youth wing of Communist Party of Nepal. The president of YCL is Subodhraj Serpali and the general secretary of YCL is Ganesh Shahi. The Young Communist League (YCL) was formed by the CPN–Maoist at some point during the 'people's war' to support the revolution. Ganeshman Pun, Former chairman of the YCL, has stated that the League was reactivated in November 2006. According to him, the YCL "is a fusion of the Party's military and political character, and it is composed of PLA members who have an interest in politics." As the party's youth wing, its role is to "organise youth, be involved in events, conduct political awareness, and take part in development work as volunteers." Once the CPN-Maoist was proscribed, the YCL was also forced underground. After the April 2006 Jana Andolan and the subsequent over-ground role of the insurgents, the CPN-Maoist revived the YCL.

Kunwar Indrajit Singh, popularly known as Dr. K.I. Singh or just K.I. Singh was a Nepali politician and revolutionary who served as the 20th Prime Minister of Nepal in 1957. He was a key member of the Nepali Congress for his role in organizing the 1951 Nepali Revolution, and was a leader in its militant wing, the Muktisena, and later refused to recognize the Delhi Accord and was forced to flee the country following a revolt he took part in. In 1955 he returned and formed the United Democratic Party, and following the installation of the Panchayat system he fought for its end, for which he was jailed. Following his release, he went into self-imposed exile, but eventually returned to Nepal and was elected a member to the Rastriya Panchayat. Lakhan Thapa Magar (1835–1877) was a Nepali revolutionary who was declared the "First Martyr of Nepal" by the Nepalese government. He was the first recorded Nepali political dissident and resisted the rule of the Rana dynasty. As a king of Bungkot, he rebelled against the rule of Jang Bahadur Rana and propagandized his political ideology to destroy the Jung Bahadur Rana regime to form a free state and army. He was supported by his close friend Jay Singh Chumi Magar and his minister Jaya Singh Chumi.
