Nery Minchez (born 1 June 1963) is a Guatemalan weightlifter. He competed in the men's bantamweight event at the 1984 Summer Olympics. [1]

Nery Gustavo Kennedy Rolón is a javelin thrower from Paraguay, who represented his native country at two Summer Olympics. He briefly held the South American record for the Javelin Throw with a result of 81.28m, thrown on 9 May 1998, overtaking compatriot Edgar Baumann at the time. The mark stood until 1999, when compatriot Baumann threw 84.70 metres. In 2008, he worked as a coach in Canada with Frédérick Bouchard. He achieved the Texas A&M Javelin Throw record in 1994. Kennedy was coached by Juan De La Garza at Texas A&M in 1996.
The United States Virgin Islands competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics, which were held in Beijing, the People's Republic of China from August 8 to August 24, 2008. The appearance of its 23-person delegation marked its fifteenth appearance at the Olympic games, and its tenth appearance at the Summer Olympic games. In total, seven athletes participated on behalf of the Virgin Islands in Beijing. Of those, John Jackson and Tabarie Henry progressed to a post-preliminary event, and Henry reached semifinals in his own. There were no Virgin Islander medalists at the Beijing Olympics.

Nery Mantey Niangkouara is a Greek swimmer. She began her career at Nereus Halandri and then moved on to Panathinaikos. In 2001, she won 2 silver medals at the Mediterranean Games in the 100m and relay races. She was 5th in the European Championships in 2002 in Relay 4Ch100. She won the first medal for the Greek colors in the European Swimming Championships in Madrid, with a time of 55.05 in the 100m free. In the 2004 Olympics in Athens she was 6th in the 100m free and 7th in the 50 meters, and was disqualified in the 4 × 100 m free.

She represented her nation Greece in two editions of the Olympic Games, and also won a bronze medal as part of the freestyle relay team at the 2005 Mediterranean Games in Almería, Spain. Kosti trained throughout her swimming career for Olympiakos sports league in Athens under the tutelage of her coach Markos Mantaloufas.

In its third and final season under head coach John "Clipper" Smith, Duquesne compiled a 4–6 record and was outscored by a total of 114 to 96. The team played its home games at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh.
