Jonathan H. Smith, better known by his stage name Lil Jon, is an American rapper, DJ, and record producer. He was the frontman of the multi-platinum selling rap group Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz and was instrumental in the emergence of the hip/hop subgenre crunk. He is credited with bringing the genre into mainstream success, producing Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 singles "Get Low", "Goodies", "Cyclone", "Freek-a-Leek", and "Yeah!". "Yeah!" won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Performance. Lil Jon is also a frequent collaborator with friend and fellow rapper Pitbull. In 2013, Lil Jon collaborated with DJ Snake and released the electronic dance music multi-platinum hit, "Turn Down for What", that won Billboard Music Award for Top Dance/Electronic Song. The music video for the single, released in 2014, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Music Video, and has been viewed over 1 billion times on YouTube as of September 2021. As of 2016, Lil Jon is listed as one of the Top Billboard Music Award Winners of All Time. In 2019, Lil Jon achieved his 8th number 1 on Billboard's Rhythmic Chart as a songwriter on the song "My Type" by Sacramento rapper Saweetie.
Crunk Juice is the fifth and final studio album by American hip hop group Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz. It was released on November 16, 2004, under BME Recordings and TVT Records. The production was primarily handled by Lil Jon himself, who also collaborated in the executive production, alongside Bryan Leach, Rob McDowell, Emperor Searcy, Vince Phillips, the Neptunes and Rick Rubin. The album includes guest appearances from rappers and singers, like R. Kelly, Ludacris, Ice Cube, Usher, Bun B from UGK, Jadakiss, Nas, T.I., the Ying Yang Twins and Pharrell. Lil Jon's next solo album, Crunk Rock, released on June 8, 2010, did not feature the East Side Boyz.

Released July 26, 2005, Hip Hop Hits Volume 10 features sixteen hip hop and rap hits. It went to number 47 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart and number 60 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album promoted itself on the cover as the "Hip-Hop Hits 10th Anniversary Edition," which is not exactly accurate since the first volume in the compilation series was released eight years ago, and the previous two compilations were released in the same year the year before.
