Newsboys Live In Concert: God's Not Dead is the second live album from Australian Christian rock band Newsboys. [1] It was recorded in July 2012 at Sonshine Festival and Lifest and released through Sparrow Records on 22 October 2012 and features songs from their albums Born Again (2010), God's Not Dead (2011), and live recordings of Michael Tait singing "He Reigns" and "Something Beautiful". [2]

Michael DeWayne Tait is an American contemporary Christian music artist. Michael Tait met Toby McKeehan in 1984 when he was in high school. Both Toby and Michael met Kevin Max while attending Liberty University in the late 1980s, and together they formed four-time Grammy winning band DC Talk, with whom Michael Tait has released five acclaimed studio albums. Tait is the current lead singer of Newsboys, and one third of Christian rock group DC Talk. Tait also has had success in his solo career, founding a band called Tait in 1997. He toured as a solo act until 2007. He became lead singer of the Christian pop rock band Newsboys in 2009. Aside from singing, Tait is also a self-taught guitar player. Tait also has a sister Lynda Randle, who is a Southern Gospel singer.

Sonshine Festival was a Christian music festival held annually, starting in 1982 in Willmar, Minnesota and continuing in that location through 2014. That same year, festival organizers announced its relocation to Somerset, Wisconsin for 2015 onward because of an inability to attract sufficient people to the original location.

Shine: The Hits is the first compilation album by Christian pop rock group Newsboys. It was released in 2000, spanning recordings from 1988 to 1998. Exclusive to the set were three new songs, an update of their 1996 hit "God Is Not a Secret", featuring dc Talk's TobyMac, a remix of their hit "Shine", and an eight-minute "Mega-Mix" of several of their biggest hits. Also included is an extended version of "I'm Not Ashamed", which differs from the original album version.

Group 1 Crew was an American Christian hip hop band signed to Fervent Records and Warner Bros. Records. They made their debut with the hit song "Can't Go On" on WOW Hits 2007. In the Hands of God is the thirteenth studio album by Christian band Newsboys. It was released on 5 May 2009, being the last album the band released before the departure of singer and founding member Peter Furler. It also features the return of Jody Davis, after a five-year hiatus, the first album on which keyboard player Jeff Frankenstein took on some production duties, and is the first album to feature any recording with Michael Tait as lead vocalist since singing guest vocals on "The Fad of the Land" from their 2002 live DVD Thrive: From The Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame. Tait later replaced Furler.

Born Again is the fourteenth studio album by the Christian rock band Newsboys. It was released on 13 July 2010 and is the first full-length album with lead singer Michael Tait, as well as the first album to feature no original members in the lineup. The group released a special five-track preview EP, also titled Born Again, on 5 January 2010. Four tracks from the EP appeared on the album. The exception, and first single released, was "I'll Be", which was made available on deluxe versions of the album. The album was later reissued as Born Again: Miracles Edition in April 2011, that included five new songs, four remixes and replaced "Impossible" with the new song, "Save Your Life". The album produced two music videos for the title track and "Miracles".

God's Not Dead is the fifteenth studio album by the Christian band Newsboys. It was released on 15 November 2011 and is the second full-length album with lead singer Michael Tait. The album featured songs by Jared Anderson, Daniel Bashta, Jason Ingram, Reuben Morgan, Jennie Lee Riddle, Jonathan Lee, Sarah Hart, Ben Cantelon, Ben Glover, Norm Miller, as well as multiple compositions and arrangements by Seth Mosley of Me in Motion. The album produced one music video for the title track.

"Like a Lion" is song written by Daniel Bashta and originally performed by Passion (with David Crowder) on the 2010 album Passion: Awakening. In 2011, it was covered by Newsboys as "God's Not Dead (Like a Lion)" and released as a single from the album God's Not Dead. The song appeared on charts during its release in 2012. The song charted in 2014, after the release of the film, God's Not Dead. The band performs the song, in a concert sequence, dedicating the song to the film's protagonist Josh Wheaton, at the end of the film. The song was released through Inpop Records. It is also heard in the credits of God's Not Dead 2 and God's Not Dead: A Light in Darkness.
