Niara Scarlett is a British-born singer-songwriter. She appeared on a number of dub, garage, grime, and house singles in the latter half of the 1990s and the 2000s. [1]
Scarlett has co-written some of the most influentional pop songs of the past ten years, including Girls Aloud's debut single "Sound of the Underground" and "Hole in the Head" by Sugababes. [1]
In 2004, she released "Looking for a Place" as part of a duo Mania, consisting of Scarlett and Giselle Sommerville. Mania was a joint venture between producer Brian Higgins and BMG. [2] An album, Do You Know Your Daughter's on the Roof, was planned, but never saw the light of day due to the disappointing chart position of "Looking for a Place". British music magazine NME describe their music as "state of the art R&B from the new Sugababes".

Scarlett is credited alongside Matt Ward and Dean Gillard on "Real Girl", which heavily samples the Lenny Kravitz song "It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over".
She appeared on 'Swords in the Dirt' in 2001 alongside Fallacy, Rodney P, Blackitude, Big P and Skeme. The song was featured on the album Run Come Save Me by British rapper Roots Manuva. [4] The following year, Scarlett appeared on The Cinematic Orchestra's "Horizon". In 2003, Niara Scarlett featured on Natacha Atlas' "Who's My Baby" for the album Something Dangerous . In April 2006, she featured on the single "The Edge" with British grime rapper Akala, whereby she was credited as simply Niara. Xenomania is an English songwriting and production team founded by Brian Higgins and based in Kent. Formed by Higgins with his Creative Director Miranda Cooper and Business Director Sarah Stennett of First Access Entertainment, Xenomania has written and produced for artists such as Cher, Kylie Minogue, Dannii Minogue, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Pet Shop Boys, The Saturdays and Sugababes. In particular, all but one of Girls Aloud's studio albums have been entirely written and produced by Xenomania. Sugababes' "Round Round" and Girls Aloud's "Sound of the Underground" have been credited with reshaping British pop music for the 2000s. Siobhán Emma Donaghy is an English singer and songwriter, best known as a founding member of the girl group Sugababes. Donaghy left the Sugababes in 2001 and released her debut solo album, Revolution in Me, in 2003. Her second studio album, Ghosts, was released in 2007 which was met with critical acclaim. Donaghy reformed with Sugababes in 2012.
Keisha Buchanan is an English singer and a founding member of the girl group Sugababes alongside Mutya Buena and Siobhán Donaghy. With the Sugababes, she had six number one singles and two number one studio albums, making them one of the most successful British pop acts of the 21st century. Buchanan was sacked to leave the group in September 2009 and was replaced by Jade Ewen. Buchanan returned to the group in 2012 with the original lineup.
"In the Middle" is a song by English girl group Sugababes, released on 22 March 2004 as the third single from their third studio album, Three (2003). Amelle Berrabah, also known as Amelle, is a British singer and rapper, best known for being a former member of the girl group the Sugababes, replacing founding member Mutya Buena, who left the group in December 2005. She achieved a solo number one single in 2009 when she collaborated with Tinchy Stryder on their single "Never Leave You", which made her the first and, to date, the only member of the Sugababes to achieve a number-one single outside of the group.
Something Dangerous is the fifth solo album by Belgian world music singer Natacha Atlas. It was released in 2003. The album's title refers to the 2003 invasion of Iraq and the title track includes audio clips of a 2003 anti-war protest march. The French edition of the album features a bonus track - a version of the single "When I Close My Eyes" sung in French. The song is titled, "Quand Je Ferme Les Yeux".

The Lost Tapes is the eighth studio album by British girl group Sugababes and their first independent release. While work for the album dates back to 2011 when the original lineup reunited, the album remained unreleased until its 24 December 2022 digital release. The Lost Tapes is the second Sugababes album to feature the original lineup after 2000's One Touch. The deluxe version, which included an additional three tracks, was released digitally on 31 December 2022. The Lost Tapes debuted at number two on the UK Digital Albums chart and number 13 on the UK Independent Albums Chart. Following their one-off show at the O2 in September 2023, the album reached a new peak of number 7 on the UK Independent Albums Chart, as well as charting at number 23 on the Scottish Albums Chart.
