Nicholas Stromberg Robinson (born November 2, 1979) is a former college basketball head coach for Southern Utah University and current assistant coach for the Brigham Young University Cougars.

Early life and education

Born in Liberty, Missouri, Robinson graduated from Liberty High School in 1998. [1] After high school, Robinson went on a two-year LDS mission to Maceió, Brazil. [1] In 2000, Robinson enrolled at Stanford University, where he would play on the Stanford Cardinal men's basketball team from 2001 to 2005, under coach Mike Montgomery in the first three years and Trent Johnson in his last. He was team captain in his junior and senior years, including the 2003–04 season in which Stanford went 30–2, a season which featured a game-winning shot from him against Arizona. [2] [3] Robinson averaged 8.2 points and 4.6 rebounds in his senior season. [3] Robinson graduated in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in political science and master's degree in sociology. [4]

Coaching career

Robinson was a volunteer assistant coach at Rio Rancho High School in Rio Rancho, New Mexico in the 2005–06 season. [2] The following season, Robinson returned to Stanford to become men's basketball director of operations, again under Trent Johnson. Stanford promoted Robinson to assistant coach the following year. [2] In the 2008–09 season, Robinson was assistant at NAIA William Jewell College. [2]

Reuniting with Trent Johnson at LSU in 2009, Robinson first served as Johnson's executive assistant for the 2009–10 season and director of operations in 2010–11 before becoming an assistant coach again in the 2011–12 season. [2]

From 2012 to 2016, Robinson was head coach at Southern Utah. Robinson went 28–90 in four years and was fired on March 9, 2016. [5]

Robinson was hired to be an assistant coach at Seattle University men's basketball ahead of the 2017-2018 season. [6] In April 2019, he was named as an assistant coach to Mark Pope at Brigham Young University. [7]

Robert G. Kloppenburg is an American basketball coach. Kloppenburg played college basketball at USC and Fresno State. In a career spanning from the 1950s to 1990s, Kloppenburg coached at the high school, college, and professional levels. From 1958 to 1976 and 1977 to 1978, Kloppenburg was head coach at California Western University. For much of the 1980s and 1990s, Kloppenburg was an NBA assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Seattle SuperSonics, Denver Nuggets, and Toronto Raptors; he also had brief stints as interim head coach for the Cavaliers and SuperSonics. 2019 Washington Huskies football team American college football season

The 2019 Washington Huskies football team represented the University of Washington during the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Huskies were led by head coach Chris Petersen, in his sixth and final year as head coach. The team looked to improve upon its 10–4 record from 2018. After the regular season, Petersen announced that the team's postseason bowl game, the Las Vegas Bowl, would be his final game with the Huskies. 2019–20 BYU Cougars mens basketball team American college basketball season

The 2019–20 BYU Cougars men's basketball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. It was head coach Mark Pope's first season as BYU's head coach and the Cougars ninth season as members of the West Coast Conference (WCC). The Cougars played their home games at the Marriott Center in Provo, Utah. They finished the season 24–8, 13–3 in WCC play to finish in second place. They lost in the semifinals of the WCC Tournament to Saint Mary's. Despite being a virtual lock to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, all postseason play was cancelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

2021 BYU Cougars softball team

The 2021 BYU Cougars softball team represents Brigham Young University in the 2021 NCAA Division I softball season. Gordon Eakin enters the year as head coach of the Cougars for an 19th consecutive season. 2021 is the eighth season for the Cougars as members of the WCC in softball. The Cougars entered 2021 having won their last 11 conference championships, though they never made it to conference play in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
