Nick Winston is an English director and choreographer working in theatre, opera and film.

Winston directed Bonnie & Clyde in Concert at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, starring Jeremy Jordan, followed by Bonnie & Clyde at The Arts Theatre in 2022 and a subsequent production at the Garrick Theatre in 2023. [1] [2] His second collaboration with composer Frank Wildhorn was Death Note , which had a concert premiere at the London Palladium in September 2023, followed by a run at the Lyric Theatre. [3]

Winston's work as choreographer includes Annie at the Piccadilly Theatre;[ when? ] the original West End production of Loserville at the Garrick in 2020, which received an Olivier Award nomination for Best New Musical;[ citation needed ] Druids’ production of Waiting for Godot, which toured America and played a season at the Lincoln Center in New York; Kiss Me Kate at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris[ when? ] and The Adventures of Pinocchio for Minnesota Opera.[ when? ][ citation needed ]

Winston directed a 2022 film adaptation of the musical Tomorrow Morning (Amazon).[ citation needed ] He directed The Royal Variety Show in the presence of HRH The Prince of Wales, hosted by Miranda Hart for ITV in 2027. Winston is directing the original production of Burlesque the Musical , based on the 2010 film, set to open at Manchester Opera House in June 2024. [5]

James Byng is an English actor and vocalist. Acting since the age of ten, James made his West End debut in the title role of Oliver! at the London Palladium. He played the same role in the national tour of Oliver! and at the Royal Charity Gala Hey! Mr. Producer, honoring theatrical producer Cameron Mackintosh at the Lyceum Theatre on 8 June 1998. Byng also played Gavroche in Les Misérables at the Palace Theatre. From 2007 to 2008 he was seen on stage at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, first playing various ensemble roles and then taking over the part of Frodo Baggins in Matthew Warchus' theatrical adaption of The Lord of the Rings. <i>Bonnie & Clyde</i> (musical) 2009 musical

Bonnie & Clyde is a musical with music by Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Don Black and a book by Ivan Menchell. The world premiere took place in San Diego, CA in November 2009. The musical centers on Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, the ill-fated lovers and outlaws whose story has been infamous since they achieved folk hero status during the Great Depression. Wildhorn described the music as a "non-traditional score, combining rockabilly, blues and gospel music". The San Diego run was followed by a Sarasota, Florida, engagement in 2010.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Royal & Derngate</span> Theatre in Northampton

Royal & Derngate is a theatre complex in the Cultural Quarter of Northampton, England, consisting of the Royal Theatre, Derngate Theatre and the Northampton Filmhouse. The Royal was built by theatre architect Charles J. Phipps and opened in 1884. Ninety-nine years later in 1983, Derngate, designed by RHWL, was built to the rear of the Royal. Whilst the two theatres were physically linked, they did not combine organisations until a formal merger in 1999; they are run by the Northampton Theatres Trust. The Royal Theatre, established as a producing house, has a capacity of 450 seats and since 1976 has been designated a Grade II listed building; Derngate Theatre seats a maximum of 1,200 and is a multi-purpose space in which the auditorium can be configured for a variety of events including theatre, opera, live music, dance, fashion and sports. The Northampton Filmhouse, an independent cinema built to the side of the complex, opened in 2013.

Ashley Lloyd is a British actor and dancer, who has performed in hit musical theatre shows such as Billy Elliot the Musical and Whistle Down the Wind. In 2012 Lloyd appeared in the new musical Loserville at the Garrick Theatre in London. Lloyd appeared in the Original London Cast of Dreamgirls at The Savoy Theatre and is now appearing in Saturday Night Fever at The Peacock Theatre in London. Fans of Hollyoaks might recognise Lloyd from the hit TV show playing Troy.

Madalena Alberto is a Portuguese actress, singer and composer who has developed her career in London's West End. Alberto received rave reviews for her role as Eva Perón in Evita in the West End (2014), where the show arrived after its UK Tour. Alberto played the role of Fantine in the 25th Anniversary production of Les Misérables.

Glyn Kerslake is a British actor who was born in 1967 in Devon. He trained as an actor at Arts Educational Schools, London. He has had an extensive career spanning more than 30 years playing leading roles in the West End and regional theatres nationwide, and has been a soloist in many orchestral concerts and radio broadcasts.
