Winston directed Bonnie & Clyde in Concert at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, starring Jeremy Jordan, followed by Bonnie & Clyde at The Arts Theatre in 2022 and a subsequent production at the Garrick Theatre in 2023. [1] [2] His second collaboration with composer Frank Wildhorn was Death Note , which had a concert premiere at the London Palladium in September 2023, [3] followed by a run at the Lyric Theatre. [4]

Winston's work as choreographer includes Pippin at the Charing Cross Theatre (2021), [8] Annie at the Piccadilly Theatre (2017); [9] the original West End production of Loserville (2012) in West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds, [10] and then at the Garrick, [11] which received an Olivier Award nomination for Best New Musical; [12] Druids’ production of Waiting for Godot, which toured America and played a season at the Lincoln Center in New York; Kiss Me Kate at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris[ when? ] and Jonathan Dove's The Adventures of Pinocchio for Opera North at Grand Theatre, Leeds (2010) and other opera companies. Winston directed a 2022 film adaptation of his own musical, Tomorrow Morning (Amazon). [14] He directed The Royal Variety Show in the presence of HRH The Prince of Wales, hosted by Miranda Hart for ITV in 2017. Byng also played Gavroche in Les Misérables at the Palace Theatre. From 2007 to 2008 he was seen on stage at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, first playing various ensemble roles and then taking over the part of Frodo Baggins in Matthew Warchus' theatrical adaption of The Lord of the Rings. In 2008-09 Byng appeared in the role of John Darling in the musical Peter Pan at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds. He just finished a tour with the West Yorkshire Playhouse production of The History Boys by Alan Bennet, in which he played Posner. From September until November 2010 Byng was on tour with a production of Carrie's War in the role of Nick Willow. After performing in Secret Cinema - Back to the Future he can currently be seen in The Grimm Tales at The Bargehouse at Oxo Tower Wharf.

Bonnie & Clyde is a musical with music by Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Don Black and a book by Ivan Menchell. The world premiere took place in San Diego, California in November 2009. The musical centers on Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, the ill-fated lovers and outlaws whose story has been infamous since they achieved folk hero status during the Great Depression. Wildhorn described the music as a "non-traditional score, combining rockabilly, blues and gospel music". The San Diego run was followed by a Sarasota, Florida, engagement in 2010.
