Nicolae Vasile Pop (born 3 January 1951) is a Romanian former volleyball player who competed in the 1980 Summer Olympics.

Pop was born in Hodac.

In 1980, Pop was part of the Romanian team that won the bronze medal in the Olympic tournament. He played all six matches.

Nicolae Munteanu is a Romanian handball coach and former goalkeeper. He competed at the 1976, 1980 and 1984 Olympics and won one silver and two bronze medals; he scored one goal in 1980. After retiring from competitions he managed French clubs US Dunkerque and HC Antibes (1990–1991). After 1992 he coached goalkeepers in Romania.

Nicolae Martinescu was a Greco-Roman wrestler from Romania. He competed at the 1964, 1968, 1972 and 1976 Olympics and won a gold medal in 1972, placing third in 1968 and fourth in 1964. At the 1976 Olympics he served as the flag bearer for Romania at the opening ceremony. Martinescu won a European title in 1966 and five medals at the world championships between 1963 and 1974. Domestically he collected 18 Romanian national titles between 1961 and 1978.

His nephew, Mihai Iosif was also a footballer who played at Rapid București.
