Nicole Colaco (born April 9, 1970 in Mombasa, Kenya) is a former field hockey player from Canada.
Colaco earned a total number of 51 international caps for the Canadian Women's National Team during her career. At the national level the Kenya-born midfielder, a resident of Scarborough, Ontario, played for G.O.A.

Simon James Towns is a field hockey player from New Zealand, who earned his first cap for the national team, nicknamed The Black Sticks, in 1992 against Kenya. In the 2007 New Year Honours he was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to hockey.
The 1997 Women's Intercontinental Cup was a qualifier for the 1998 Women's Hockey World Cup and was held in the Magamba Stadium in Harare, Zimbabwe, from Friday 1 August to Tuesday 12 August 1997. Twelve nations took part, divided into two groups of six in the preliminary round. The top six teams joined Argentina, Olympic champions Australia, Germany, South Korea, the United States and hosts the Netherlands.
Veronica Planella is a former field hockey player from Canada, Veronica was a 1992 Olympic Games squad member, who later earned several international caps for the Women's Senior National Team. Planella, a resident of Victoria, British Columbia, represented both Canada and Chile internationally. In 1985 she was named Chilean Athlete of the Year and in 1998-1999 Canadian Most Valuable Player at the National University Championships. She is a Bronze Medalist at the 1995 PanAms Games. After her hockey career she completed a master's degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology and her doctorate in coaching expertise development from the University of Victoria. Planella has worked at the National Coaching Institute and Canadian National Sport Centre, in performance psychology as an educator and strategist, performance analyst and coaching effectiveness researcher. She is also a level 4 Field hockey coach and is a coach education facilitator with the Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF). At the present time, Veronica teaches at the University of Victoria and has her practice in performance psychology.

Joel Elizabeth Brough is a Canadian field hockey player. She has competed in numerous international competitions. Some of the highlights include: 1989 Junior World Cup,'90 &'94 Hockey World Cup, 1989 Champions Trophy, Field hockey at the 1992 Summer Olympics and 1995 Pan American Games. She was introduced to the sport in high school where she played on numerous OFSAA winning teams. From there, Brough competed for both York University and UofT, as well as, the province of Ontario. Brough is the Head of Health and Physical Education at The Sterling Hall School in Toronto and was also a Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torchbearer. In addition, Brough was inducted into the York University "Sports Hall of Fame" in 2012.
The 2014 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed the final part of the Cricket World Cup qualification process for the 2015 World Cup. The top two teams qualified for the World Cup, joining Ireland and for the first time Afghanistan, both of whom already qualified through the 2011–13 ICC World Cricket League Championship and maintained their ODI status. The World Cup Qualifier was the final event of the 2009–14 World Cricket League. It was staged in New Zealand, from 13 January to 1 February 2014 after Scotland relinquished the right to host it. Scotland was originally scheduled to host the tournament in July and August 2013.
