Nicole Lindroos is a game designer who has worked primarily on role-playing games.
After twice applying to culinary school, Nicole Lindroos entered the game industry in 1989. [1] Lindroos was one of the Minnesota locals who joined Lion Rampant after the company was started. [2] : 232 Lindroos joined White Wolf Publishing when the two companies merged in 1990. [2] : 216 Lindroos left White Wolf in 1991 and returned to Minnesota, where she took a job at Atlas Games, [2] : 217 formed by John Nephew with assistance from other former Lion Rampant employees such as Lindroos and Darin "Woody" Eblom. [2] : 252 Lindroos later played a sample copy of Once Upon a Time by James Wallis at Gen Con 24, and thanks to her input the game was published by Atlas Games in 1993, [2] : 304 and remained in print with Atlas through various editions. [3] Lindroos became a freelancer, writing an adventure for Jonathan Tweet's Everway , [4] and also co-founded the magazine Adventures Unlimited (1995-1996), the first issue of which contained adventures for games she had previously been involved with, including Ars Magica , Vampire: The Masquerade , and Over the Edge . [2] : 236 Lindroos and her husband Chris Pramas formed Green Ronin Publishing in 2000. [2] : 236, 370 Pramas and Lindroos brought on Hal Mangold as the third member of the Green Ronin team by 2001. [2] : 370 Green Ronin was incorporated as an LLC in 2004, with Pramas, Lindroos, and Mangold as the three partners. [2] : 373
Lindroos has volunteered on the board of directors of the Game Manufacturer's Association, the Origins Awards committee, and as the chairman of the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design. [1]

Jonathan Tweet is an American game designer who has been involved in the development of the role-playing games Ars Magica, Everway, Over the Edge, Talislanta, the third edition of Dungeons & Dragons and 13th Age, and the collectible miniatures game Dreamblade. In 2015 Tweet released Grandmother Fish, a full-color, full-sized book about evolution aimed at preschoolers. In 2018 Tweet released Clades and Clades Prehistoric, two card games for children and adults which demonstrate the concept of a clade.

Blue Rose is a fantasy role-playing game published by Green Ronin Publishing in 2005. The game is in the romantic fantasy genre—it is inspired by fantasy fiction such as that of Mercedes Lackey and Diane Duane as opposed to Robert E. Howard–style of swords and sorcery. In romantic fantasy the emphasis is on role-playing and character interaction more than on combat. The game uses a derivative of the D20 system, called True20. Green Ronin subsequently released True20 as a separate system without a setting and genre neutral.
