Nieuwegein-Zuid is a tram stop of the Utrecht sneltram network, located in the most southern part of Nieuwegein. The stop opened in 1983. [1] Today it is the terminus of tram route 20 from Utrecht Central Station and P+R Science Park. [2] It connects the Hoog-Zandveld neighbourhood of Nieuwegein with IJsselstein and Utrecht. It is located right next to a shopping center.

The West Midlands Metro is a light-rail/tram system in the county of West Midlands, England. The network has 33 stops with a total of 14 miles (23 km) of track; it currently consists of a single route, Line 1, which operates between the cities of Birmingham and Wolverhampton via the towns of Bilston, West Bromwich and Wednesbury, on a mixture of former railway lines and urban on-street running. Utrecht Science Park is a neighbourhood in Utrecht and the largest science park in the Netherlands. It is located to the east of the city. It is the largest campus of Utrecht University. Apart from the faculties of Law, Humanities and University College Utrecht, most of the university buildings are located in Utrecht Science Park. It is also a main location of the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and the University Medical Center Utrecht, and houses the main university library, student housing and botanical gardens.
Amsterdam Zuid is a railway station situated in the borough of Amsterdam-Zuid in Amsterdam, Netherlands. For a number of years, it was named Amsterdam Zuid WTC, in reference to the neighbouring World Trade Center Amsterdam. During 2006, in conjunction with the rapid development of the area surrounding the station, the station was enlarged and the reference to the WTC was formally dropped from the name.
Hucknall station, also formerly known as Hucknall Byron station, is a railway station and tram stop in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, England. It is located on the Robin Hood railway line, 5 miles (8 km) north of Nottingham, and is also the northern terminus of the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) tram system. The station has park and ride facilities, with nearly 450 parking spaces for use by both tram and train passengers.
G:link, also known as the Gold Coast Light Rail, the Gold Coast Tram or simply the 'G, is a light rail system serving the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, and is the sole light rail system in Queensland. The system forms part of Translink's South East Queensland public transport network and consists of a single 20 km (12 mi) line of nineteen stations. Helensvale railway station is the northern terminus of the system, while Broadbeach South serves as the southern terminus. The line initially opened on 20 July 2014 and was subsequently extended northwest from Gold Coast University Hospital to Helensvale on 17 December 2017.

Tramlijn 5 is a tram line operating between Amsterdam and Amstelveen in the Netherlands. Operated by the municipal transport company GVB, the route normally runs between Van Hallstraat in Amsterdam and Stadshart in the neighbouring municipality of Amstelveen. Tram line 5 connects several important areas of the city, including the Zuidas financial district and Leidseplein, and also provides a rapid tram route south of Amsterdam Zuid station to Stadshart, Amstelveen's town centre.

The system consists of three tram routes connecting Utrecht Centraal railway station with the residential areas of Lombok and Kanaleneiland and the suburbs Nieuwegein and IJsselstein to the southwest of the station, and with the Uithof district and Utrecht University to the southeast.

Westwijk is a tram stop serving the neighborhood of Westwijk in the city of Amstelveen, Netherlands. It serves tram line 25, dubbed the Amsteltram, which opened officially on 13 December 2020, unofficially 4 days earlier on 9 December. It used to be the southern terminus of the line until the opening of the extension to Uithoorn Centrum on 21 July 2024.
Vaartsche Rijn is a railway station in the Dutch city of Utrecht. It is situated on the railway lines between Utrecht and Arnhem and between Utrecht and 's-Hertogenbosch. Construction started in September 2010 and after some delays was officially opened at 23 August 2016. The station was built as part of ProRail's Randstadspoor project to improve suburban rail travel. Six to eight thousand riders are expected to use the station each day.
Tram route 8 is a tram route in Antwerp and nearby Wommelgem. The present day route was opened on 8 December 2019 connecting the Astrid premetro station with the Wommelgem Roundabout P+R. The route was the first to use the newly opened premetro tunnel under Borgerhout, called the Reuzenpijp, which begins at Astrid station and comes above ground just before the Muggenberg stop. It is promoted as a "fast tram" (sneltram) route, as most stations in the premetro tunnel have not (yet) been opened, allowing a 15-minute connection between the city center and the Wommelgem P+R.
Nieuwegein City is a tram stop of the Utrecht sneltram network, located beside the Nieuwegein Cityplaza shopping mall in Nieuwegein. It is along the SUNIJ line which runs south from the Jaarbeursplein and Centrumzijde stops at Utrecht Centraal railway station. South of the Nieuwegein City stop is the main junction of the sneltram network where southbound trams from Utrecht branch to either IJsselstein-Zuid and Nieuwegein-Zuid, tram routes 20 and 21 respectively.
Amsterdam tram line 25, also known as the Amsteltram, is a tram line running south from Amsterdam Zuid station in Amsterdam via Westwijk in Amstelveen to Uithoorn Centrum in Uithoorn. It officially opened to Westwijk on 13 December 2020. The tram line replaced metro line 51, a light rail line (sneltram) that ceased running south of Amsterdam Zuid station on 3 March 2019 to convert it for low-floor trams. Tram line 5 shares the stops with line 25 between Zuid station and Oranjebaan stations. Line 5 had also shared the same tracks with metro line 51, the former using low-level platforms for regular trams, and the latter using high-level platforms.
M51, also known as the Ring Line, is an Amsterdam Metro line running from Amsterdam Centraal station to Isolatorweg metro station, almost creating a full circle through Amsterdam. It was opened in December 1990 as a metro/tram hybrid line named sneltram and served the suburb of Amstelveen. Using special rolling stock, the Amstelveen Line ran as a metro on 750 V DC third rail from Amsterdam Centraal to the Amsterdam Zuid station, where it would switch operation modes and utilize 600 V DC overhead lines and end at Poortwachter. An extension to Westwijk was completed in 2004. In Amstelveen, the line partially ran on the same track as tram line 5 and had many level crossings.
S1 and S2 units, collectively called S1/S2, were electric multiple unit trains used on the Amsterdam Metro in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Built by La Brugeoise et Nivelles (BN), 13 of these units were ordered by the GVB in 1988 (S1), as well as an additional 12 later in 1991 (S2), for a new line from Amsterdam Centraal station to the suburb of Amstelveen. This line, named the Amstelveen Line and later numbered as 51, was initially expected to be a full metro line, but was later changed to a tram-metro hybrid named sneltram due to protests against the metro in the preceding decades. From Amsterdam Centraal to Amsterdam Zuid, Line 51 ran as a regular metro on 750 V DC with third rail pick up, used on the regular metro network. At Zuid, the trains converted to 600 V DC via overhead lines, used by the city's tram network and served Amstelveen as a faster tram service. On the latter part of the route, the line shared tracks and stops with a regular tram line and ran on public roads with crossings.
