Nightmare and the Cat was a five-piece British-American indie rock band that formed in 2010. The band consisted of Django Stewart (vocals), Samuel Stewart (guitar), Claire Acey (vocals), Scott Henson (bass) and Spike Phillips (drums).
The band was formed in Los Angeles by brothers Samuel Stewart and Django Stewart, sons of musician/producer Dave Stewart and Siobhan Fahey. Samuel and Django had both been involved in previous bands in London and Los Angeles, including Blondelle and Django James and the Midnight Squires, respectively. [1]
The band built a considerable following on YouTube posting covers and acoustic performances. [2] The band self released the Nightmare and the Cat EP and soon garnered the attraction of major management companies and labels, signing with In De Goot Entertainment in 2011 who found them a home at Capitol Records in 2013. [3] Their debut release Simple EP, produced by Eric Valentine was released on Capitol Records on September 17, 2013. The band collaborates with artist Gary Baseman in their artwork and some live performances. [4] They are looking forward to the release of their first LP, also titled Simple, in July 2014. On May 15, 2014 Nightmare and the Cat performed "Undercover" on The Late Show with David Letterman. [5]
On October 28, 2015 Django took to Facebook to announce that Nightmare and the Cat "is no more".
In 2013 the band toured across the United States supporting label mates Bastille with Little Daylight. [6] In 2014 they were on tour supporting Neon Trees with Smallpools.

Battleaxe are an English heavy metal band from Sunderland. As one of the bands of the new wave of British heavy metal scene, they started out with the name Warrior and morphed into Battleaxe in early 1981. The band consisted of Dave King (vocals), Brian Smith (bass), Steve Hardy (guitar), and Ian Thompson (drums). After playing around the area and honing their craft, they entered the recording studio to make a demo called "Burn This Town". Emil John Schmidt IV, known professionally as Acey Slade, is an American musician. He is the bassist and one of the guitarists in the nu metal/industrial band Dope and a former guitarist of the horror punk and glam metal act Murderdolls. He is also the lead singer and guitarist of Acey Slade & the Dark Party and a touring guitarist of The Misfits. Previous to this, he served as the bassist in Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and as the lead vocalist and guitarist in the punk rock band Trashlight Vision, which broke up in 2007.
The Rosebuds were an American indie rock band from Raleigh, North Carolina, that recorded and performed from 2001 to 2014. Its current members are Ivan Howard (vocals/guitar/drums/bass/keyboards/programming) and Kelly Crisp (vocals/keyboard/drums/guitar/accordion). Billy Alphin had played drums on the album The Rosebuds Make Out, Wes Phillips played drums on the E.P."Unwind", Lee Waters played drums on the record Birds Make Good Neighbors, and Matt McCaughan played the drums on Night of the Furies, Life Like and Loud Planes Fly Low. Rob Lackey was behind the drum kit during the taping of The Rosebuds Live at the Cats Cradle, a charity only recording sold at cytunes.org to help fight for the prevention of cancer, as well as on the track "Second Birds of Paradise" on "Loud Planes Fly Low."
