Nightmares is the debut studio album by British metalcore band Architects. It was released on 15 May 2006 through Distort and In at the Deep End Records. The album was produced by the band themselves and Karl Bareham. It is the only album featuring the band's original line-up with Matt Johnson on vocals and Tim Lucas on bass.

Contents

The album was described by Metal Temple as "melodic, yet brutal" metalcore with rhythmic similarities to the bands Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge and Unsane, which makes Architect's music "less boring". [1]

On June 22, 2012, the album title, release date, and first single were announced. On June 25, the first single "Cauterize" was released for free download and became available online for purchase the following day. It peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart in October 2021.
