Đorđe Balašević was a Serbian singer and songwriter, writer, poet and director. He began his career in the late 1970s as a member of the band Rani Mraz, transitioning after two albums to a solo career. He first gained mainstream prominence for writing Rani Mraz's hit "Računajte na nas", which was often described as an anthem of a generation. Nina Badrić is a Croatian pop singer and songwriter. She began performing in the early 1990s, and competed in "Dora" – the Croatian selection for Eurovision Song Contest 4 times. She won 7th place in 1993 with "Ostavljam te", 10th place in 1994 with "Godine nestvarne", 18th place in 1995 with "Odlaziš zauvijek", and second place in 2003 with "Čarobno jutro". Badrić eventually represented Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan with the song "Nebo". She finished 12th in the second semi-final and failed to qualify for the grand final.
Damir Kedžo is a Croatian pop singer. While he started his career in 2003 by participating in Story Supernova Music Talents, he became even more famous in Croatia after winning the third season of Tvoje lice zvuči poznato, the Croatian version of Your Face Sounds Familiar. He also performed in musicals.

"'Sveto Pismo" is a song by Croatian pop singer Jelena Rozga. It was written by Vjekoslava Huljić, arranged by Tonči Huljić and produced by Darko Dimitrov and Željko Joksimović. It was released as a single through Croatia Records on 27 January 2020 along with an accompanying music video directed by Dario Radusin. Musically, "Sveto Pismo" is a pop ballad, sung from the perspective of a woman who is wondering whether love is enough for a relationship to be maintained. Commercially, the song achieved moderate success in Croatia, peaking at number five on the HR Top 40. The music video for the song is watched 4.3 million times as of May 2022.
"'Zar je ljubav spala na to (Obećanja)" is a song by Croatian pop band Magazin featuring Bosnian rock singer Mladen Vojičić Tifa. It was written by Croatian songwriter and lyricist Vjekoslava Huljić and produced by Tonči Huljić. It was released as a single through Croatia Records in 2001. The song was well received by both of the singers' fanbases. Commercially, the song achieved success in Croatia and the wider Yugoslav region. A music video was released which features the band and both of the lead vocalists singing the song along with scenes from the 2000 movie What Women Want. It is watched 1.5 million times as of September 2022.
