Nikol Bulat (born 16 October 1987) is a Croatian former singer.

Biography

Nikol Bulat was born in Šibenik, SR Croatia, Yugoslavia on 16 October 1987. In 2006 she competed for the position of lead singer of Magazin, popular pop music band from Split, after Jelena Rozga had left it. She performed their song "Opijum" ( Opium ) but she lost to Ivana Kovač.

In 2008 she became a member of Feminnem. With Feminnem, she recorded songs "Chanel 5" ( Chanel No. 5 ), "Poljupci u boji" (Kisses in Colour) and "Oye, Oye, Oye", the latter featuring Spanish singer Alex Manga. Despite much success, she didn't fit in the group and subsequently left it. [1]

In 2009, she released her debut solo single "Grešnica" (Sinner). [2] The year after, she performed a song "Samo mi" (Just Us) at Mediafest. [3] At the beginning of 2011, she recorded a duet "Crveni karton" ( Red Card ) with Bosnian singer Ada Grahović and, in June, she announced the songs "Strašno ti stojim" (I Suit You Terrifically) [4] and "Hajde opa" (Come On Hopa ) as her new singles, produced by Costi Ioniţă. Personal life

Nikol holds master's degree in law. According to reports, she left the music business and is working as an attorney as of 2018. [6] She is in a relationship with Croatian football player Ivan Šunjić. [7]

Musically, "Sveto Pismo" is a pop ballad, sung from the perspective of a woman who is wondering whether love is enough for a relationship to be maintained. Commercially, the song achieved moderate success in Croatia, peaking at number five on the HR Top 40. The music video for the song is watched 4.3 million times as of May 2022.

"'Zar je ljubav spala na to (Obećanja)" is a song by Croatian pop band Magazin featuring Bosnian rock singer Mladen Vojičić Tifa. It was written by Croatian songwriter and lyricist Vjekoslava Huljić and produced by Tonči Huljić. It was released as a single through Croatia Records in 2001. The song was well received by both of the singers' fanbases. Commercially, the song achieved success in Croatia and the wider Yugoslav region. A music video was released which features the band and both of the lead vocalists singing the song along with scenes from the 2000 movie What Women Want. It is watched 1.5 million times as of September 2022.
