The University of Karachi is a public research university located in Karachi,Sindh,Pakistan. Established in June 1951 by an act of Parliament and as a successor to the University of Sindh,the university is a "Sindh Government University" and designed by Mohsin Baig as its chief architect.

He was the founding CEO of the Australia India Institute at the University of Melbourne and served as chairman of the governing board of Miranda House,University of Delhi,the highest-ranked women's college in India,and served as Chair of Kirori Mal College earlier He has also been a member of the Lancet Commission on Adolescent Health and Wellbeing. In 2002,he was the youngest person to be appointed as vice chancellor of a public university in independent India. Mattoo's advice on policy matters has been sought across political parties and across governments,including by Prime Ministers Atal Behari Vajpayee and Dr Manmohan Singh. Following the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution of India,he has offered a political roadmap for securing the future of Jammu and Kashmir. He has been a persistent advocate of multiculturalism and of reconciliation between Kashmiri Pandits and Kashmiri Muslims.

Rosina Mamokgethi Phakeng is a South African professor of mathematics education who in 2018 became a vice-chancellor of the University of Cape Town (UCT). She has been the vice principal of research and innovation,at the University of South Africa and acting executive dean of the College of Science,Engineering and Technology at UNISA. In 2018 she was an invited speaker at the International Congresses of Mathematicians. In February 2023 it was announced that she would leave her position as vice-chancellor of UCT and take early retirement. She was succeeded by Professor Daya Reddy on 13 March 2023.
Talat Ahmad is an Indian Earth Scientist,former Professor at the Department of Geology,University of Delhi and served as Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Senior Scientist. He served as Chairman of Governing body which oversees Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology,Dehradun from 1 December 2021 onwards and served the office till 30 November 2027. Previously,he commenced his second stint as vice chancellor of University of Kashmir on 6 August 2018 and served the office till 20 May 2022. Before that,he served as Vice chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia,he resigned from the post a few months short of his full term. He was shortlisted by a committee constituted by the governor to shortlist a panel for the post. He had earlier taken over as Vice-chancellor of University of Kashmir from Professor Riyaz Punjabi on 1 June 2011. Prior to this,he was teaching Geology at the University of Delhi.
The vice-chancellor of Banaras Hindu University (VC-BHU) is the chief administrator,and a full-time salaried officer of the Banaras Hindu University. The vice-chancellor derives their powers from sections 7(B) and 7(C) of the Banaras Hindu University Act and from the statutes of the said act.

Her research interest are centered on "growth regulation,biostatistics,biotechnology and plant conservation". she was appointed Vice Chancellor of Federal University Dutse by President Muhammadu Buhari. she served between 2016 and 2021.

Professor Akbar Masood is the Vice Chancellor at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University in Jammu and Kashmir. Barbara Atkinson is an American former educator,medical doctor,and university administrator. From 2014 until 2019,she helped create the UNLV School of Medicine. Prior to time at UNLV,she was the executive vice chancellor for the University of Kansas Medical Center for 10 years,and the executive dean for the University of Kansas School of Medicine for 12 years. Prior to moving to Kansas,Atkinson worked in Pennsylvania.
Rose Mwonya was appointed vice-chancellor (VC) of Egerton University in 2015,becoming the first woman to hold the position in the institution's 76-year history. She served in this role for five years,until 2021. Mwonya was one of 21 applicants for the position,and was selected after a rigorous selection process. She is a highly accomplished academic,with a PhD in Agriculture and Home Economics from Iowa State University. She has held a number of senior positions at Egerton University,including dean of students and deputy VC in charge of academics. As VC,Mwonya advocated for gender equality and women's empowerment. She also worked to improve the quality of education at Egerton University,and to increase its internationalization.
Renu Vig is an Indian academic and professor,who currently serves as the 14th vice-chancellor of Panjab University. She is the first woman vice-chancellor of Panjab University.
